FIRST A FEW WORDS FOR THE READER
Following the sentiment and prudence of the Holy Church, we reproduce for the readers of our publications the collection of manuscripts by Clemens Brentano, Bernardo E. Ovenberg and Guillermo Wesener, on the visions and revelations of the Venerable Anne Catherine Emmerick - compiled and corrected by PR. Fuchs, ODB
The question of penetrating and illuminating the secrets of the past and future, of scrutinizing the signs of the times together with the favors that Heaven showers upon His Church, has been an eternal human aspiration. Mystical literature – as much as human literature – has often dealt with themes as inexhaustible as these.
This desire to penetrate beyond the veil of history is so great that the announcement of conferences, publications or appearances is enough to bring together crowds, often moved by a reckless spirit, driven by the desire for news and incessant emotions. These are the cases that since our foundation we have sought to report, clarify and cooperate in discernment.
What was said above does not exclude the authenticity of the graces granted through Our Lady, privileged souls or Jesus Christ Our Lord himself. And all these revelations, messages and visions form a coherent and solid “unum” where each one harmoniously weaves a wonderful and supernatural tapestry in which we contemplate God's plans for the history of man.
Combining the Thomistic spirit with the wonderful - supernatural vision of things, the luminous paths of prudent Ignatian spirituality or the Carmelite rules of Saint John of the Cross - to name the main masters of discernment - point out the paths to follow for the Catholic faithful. .
In the midst of the confusion of our days, where so many strange and suspicious facts proliferate, surrounded by paraphernalia and false mysticism, it is an opportune moment to establish doctrine and criteria. It is not enough to look for the scandalous behavior of a seer or the evidence of a dangerous heresy. The devil always tries to multiply prodigious events until he makes any extraordinary grace incredible, raising noises, smoke and sparks to blind and stun the faithful with respect to the heavenly voices.
The posture of the faithful must be neither of Cartesian suspicion, nor of fascinated excitement, of absolute skepticism, nor of surrendered credulity. Through sentimental romanticism, the modern materialist view was implicitly affirmed. Rather, it must be a prudent openness of soul, great caution, always maintaining the moderation that confers doctrinal maturity and sacramental life aided by prayer.
As for the apparitions, visions and revelations approved by the Church, unequivocally confirmed after the meticulous study that corresponds to each of these manifestations, nothing more remains than the joyful and confident acceptance of a son of the Church who maintains a holy distance. for those revelations that do not belong to the official Revelation.
We therefore deliver these manuscripts confident that common sense, nourished by orthodoxy in faith, will serve the spirit as food for formation and perfection. We do so with the conviction that the judgment of the spiritual authorities regarding these writings was benevolent and enthusiastic, finding nothing contrary to faith or good customs, nor innovative doctrines or doctrines strange to the common and customary way of feeling of the Holy Church, we can read calmly. And we can do so even though many of the statements it contains may surprise the reader unfamiliar with the teachings of the early Church Fathers or of doctors, seers, and other persons of notable authority. They may not be universally accepted, as they are part of debatable subjects. But, undoubtedly – however strong they may seem – they contribute a lot to elevating the reader's spirit and correcting him fraternally in his life of faith.
Echoing all those who wanted to publish works of the content of this compendium, we protest, in accordance with the Decrees of His Holiness Urban VIII, that the editors, when giving people who are not canonized or beatified the description of saints, more virtuous or famous of the saints, as well as in the prophetic stories that he expounds and comments on, and in the facts that are attributed to him as miraculous, we do not intend to give his words any other scope than that of a purely human authority, submitting ourselves in all of this - as in all the subjects of the present book - to the Supreme Authority of the Holy Church, the great human guide and unsurpassed teacher of the orthodoxy of Catholic teaching.
The interpretation that the editors make of these visions and revelations - based on their purely human authority - is recommended material for study and spiritual formation, and not through the authentic interpretation of the Church, welcome, together with their readers, their pension that "unusual abundance in sensu suo".
We could expand much further on the question of the veracity and origin of the various prophecies, visions and revelations of human history, or the condition of those who participate in such graces or even the ways of examining and criticizing them. But such matters would exceed the proportions of this space and would only make reading difficult.
Aware of the above, we leave the reader immersed in the brilliant pages that we present with editorial pride for your refreshment and spiritual nourishment.

I – Creation and fall of angels
First I saw a huge space full of Light Rise Up Before my eyes, and within that space of light, far above, like a globe resplendent as a sun, and in it I felt that there was the city of the Trinity. I call it that, harmony, agreement. And I saw Dali come out, Virtue and power, suddenly appeared under the resplendent globe luminous choirs, rings, circular fastened together, of wonderfully splendid spirits, strong, of admirable beauty. This new world of Radiance Rose and stood like a sun of light beneath that other, higher Sun that I saw first.
In the beginning, these choirs of spirits moved as if moved by the force of love that came from the highest Sun.
Suddenly I saw a part of all these choirs they remain motionless, looking at themselves, contemplating their own beauty. They conceived self-contentment; they beheld all beauty in themselves; they beheld themselves; they were in themselves.
In the beginning, they were all in higher spheres, moving as outside themselves. From that moment, a part of them, remained quiet, looking at herself. At the same time I saw all this part of the luminous spirits rush and darken, and the other choirs of Angels attack them and fill them with darkness. their Glades. The circles then became smaller. I did not see, however, that these good spirits went out of the circle of the general picture to persecute them. The rebels who were silent, overwhelmed in themselves, rushed; and those who had not stopped in themselves filled the voids of the fallen. All this happened in a brief moment.
When these spirits fell, I saw a globe of darkness appear below, as if it were the site of their new home, and knew that they had fallen there involuntarily and impatiently. The space which now enclosed them, below, was much smaller than that which they had above, so that it seemed to me that they were cramped and distressed, and not free as before.
Since I saw this fall as a child, I have been afraid day and night of its evil action and have always thought that they they must have done a lot of damage to the Earth. They are always near her, although they have no body. They would obscure even the sunlight, and we would always see them as shadows wandering before the light. That would be unbearable for us.
II - Creation of the Earth
After the fall of the angels, I saw that the spirits of the luminous choirs humbled themselves before the Divinity, declared their submission and asked the Divinity to repair and fill the gaps that had been produced. Then I saw a movement and an action in the light of the Divinity, which until then had remained motionless, and which waited, as I felt within, for that request from the angels. After this action of the angels I was convinced that they must remain firm and could no longer fall. I was given to understand, however, that it was God's decision and decree, because of the fall of the angels, that there should be fighting and war until the choirs of the fallen angels were full. This time seemed to me to be very long and impossible in my spirit. This fight had to take place on earth, and not in the heavens, where there should be no more fighting, for the Divinity had established it in its stability.
After persuasion, I was unable to have compassion on the devil, for I knew that he fell by the force of his own ill will. Nor could he be angry with Adam; On the other hand, I felt a lot of compassion for him, because I think everything was already planned.
Immediately after the supplication of the faithful angels and after the movement in the Divinity, a world appeared, a dark globe next to the globe of darkness that had formed under the luminous sun of the Divinity; This balloon was to the right and not far from the previous balloon.
Then I focused my attention on the dark globe that was to the right of the dark sphere and I saw movement within it, as if it were growing larger with each passing moment. Points of light appeared in the dark mass and surrounded it like streaks of light. Then clearer places were seen, and these strips of land were separated from the surrounding waters. Then I saw movement in the brightest places, as if something alive was stirring in them.
On the surface of the tent I saw grass growing and plants appearing and, among them, living beings that moved. It seemed to me, as I was still a child, that the plants were moving.
Until that moment everything was gray and now it was becoming lighter like the sunrise. That world seemed like the morning on earth, which awakens everything from sleep. Everything else I had seen before disappeared from my sight. The sky was blue and the sun walked its path. I saw a part of the world illuminated by it, and so bright and pleasant, that I thought: "This is Paradise."
As things changed in the dark land, I saw something coming out of the highest circle of Divinity. It seemed to me, watching the sun rise over the horizon, as when everything is reborn at dawn; It was the first morning in the world. However, no human being has witnessed this. Things continued as if they had always been this way. Everything was still in the innocence of primitive creation. As the sun rose over the horizon, I saw that the plants and trees were also growing, rising to greater heights. The waters seemed clearer and sanctified to me; the purest and brightest colors; everything was inexpressibly pleasant. There is no comparison now to what creation was like then. Plants, flowers and trees had other forms. Things today are, in comparison, as if stunted and damaged; Today everything is so dry and withered.
Often, when I see fruits and plants in our garden, and then see the same (in vision) in the hot countries of the South, completely different in size, beauty and taste, for example, peaches, I think to myself: “What are the our fruits in comparison with the fruits of the countries of the South, so are these fruits of the South in comparison with the fruits of the earthly Paradise.” I saw white and red roses there and thought to myself: “These signify the passion of Christ and the Redemption”. I also saw palm trees and very spacious trees that provided shade like a roof. Before I saw the sun, everything seemed smaller and smaller to me; then bigger, and finally big. The trees were not very close to each other. I saw only one specimen of each plant, at least the larger ones, and I saw them separated as if they belonged to a nursery, planted according to species. Everything else was green and so pure, incoherent and ordered that human order could not even be remotely imagined. I thought: “How everything is so beautiful and orderly, and there is no man here!...
There is no sin yet; That's why there's nothing stained or contaminated here. Everything is sacred and wholesome here; nothing was corrected or composed; everything is clean, pure and uncontaminated."
The meadows had insensitive elevations covered in vegetation and greenery. In the middle you could see a fountain, from which rivers flowed in all directions and some returned to the source. In this water I saw movement and living beings for the first time. Then I saw animals among the plants and bushes; It looked like they woke up from their sleep looking at the grass and plants.
These animals were not skittish and were very different from today's animals. If I compare them to today's animals, they make me feel as if they were men.
They were innocent, pure, noble, very agile, full of contentment and very gentle.
I can't express in words what these animals were like back then. Most of them were unknown to me. I didn't see any there like the ones I see now. I saw elephants, deer, camels and especially the unicorn, which I later also saw in Noah's ark; He was particularly kind and affectionate. He was shorter than the horse and had a more rounded head.
I didn't see any monkeys, insects, or any disgusting or squalid animals. I always thought that these animals appeared later as punishment for sin. I saw many birds and heard their songs as pleasant as a happy morning. However, I did not hear the roar of the beasts nor did I see birds of prey.
The Earthly Paradise still exists; but it is quite impossible for man to attain it. I saw him up there in all his splendour, separated from the earth obliquely, as the dark sphere of the fallen angels is in heaven.'
III - Adam and Eve
We have seen that Adam was not created in Paradise, but in the place that later became Jerusalem. I saw it emerge, bright and white, from a small mound of yellow earth, as if from a mold. The sun was shining and I thought, as a child, that the sun with its light made it rise from the earth. He was born from the earth, then virgin. God blessed this land and she was like his mother. He did not suddenly emerge from the earth; It took some time to appear. He was lying on his left side, with his arm over his head, and appeared to be enveloped in a fluorescent haze. I saw a figure to his right and was convinced that it was Eve, who was later taken from Adam in Paradise by the work of God. God called Adam and it was then as if the hill opened and Adam emerged little by little from her womb. There were no trees nearby, just small flowering plants. I also saw that the animals left the ground one by one and that the females were then separated. I saw that Adam was taken far away from there, to a garden placed on high, the earthly Paradise. God made the animals before him. Adam gave them names and the animals followed him and feasted on him.
All creation served Adam before sin. I saw Adam in Paradise, not far from the fountain in the middle of the garden, rising as if he were sleeping, among flowers and bushes. His body was a vaguely luminous whiteness. However, his body had more flesh than a purely spiritual being. He didn't care about anything around him; He walked among the trees and among the animals as if he were used to it, as if he were visiting his fields and possessions.
I saw Adam resting, with his left hand resting on his cheek, on that little hill near the waters. God sent a sleep upon him. Adam was immersed in visions. Then he took Eve from Adam's right side, precisely on the side where Jesus' chest was struck by the spear. I saw Eve, at first, small and delicate; Soon she grew until I saw her big and beautiful. If there had been no sin, all men would have been formed and born in peaceful sleep. The hill was divided into two parts, I saw on Adam's side a rock similar to crystal and precious stones.
On Eve's side a small valley was formed covered in fine white powder and fruit. When Eve was created, I saw that God gave something to Adam or inspired something in him. It seemed to me that rays of light were coming out of God, in human form, from his forehead, mouth, chest and hands, forming a ray of brilliance, which entered the right side of Adam from where he had taken Eve. I saw that only Adam received this light source. It was the germ of God's blessing. In this blessing there was like a trinity. The blessing that Abraham later received from the angel was somewhat similar, but not as luminous as that received by Adam.
Eve stood in front of Adam and he shook her hand. They were like two innocent children, wonderfully beautiful and noble. They were luminous, covered in light as if it were a fluorescent garment. In Adam's mouth I saw a broad beam of light and on his forehead a stern face. Around his mouth was a sun of rays. In Eva there was no such shine. I saw the heart as men do now; but her breast was surrounded by rays of light, and in the middle of her heart I saw a luminous glory, and within, a small image with something in its hand. I believe it was a representation of the third Person of the Holy Trinity. Rays of light also radiated from his feet and hands. Her hair fell in five luminous beams: two at her temples, two behind her ears and one at the back of her head. I have always been convinced that through Jesus' wounds the doors of the mortal body that had been closed by sin were opened, and that Longinos, by opening Jesus' chest, also opened the doors of rebirth to eternal life. This is why no one could have entered heaven before these doors were opened. I saw the luminous rays from Adam's head as a superabundance, as a glory in relation to other radiations. This glory returns again upon the glorified bodies of the blessed. Our hair is the remains of the fall and lost glory, and just as our hair is now compared to rays of light, so our flesh is compared to Adam's body before the fall. The sun of light over Adam's mouth was related to God's blessing of a holy offspring, which, without original fault, would have been done through words. Adam gave Eve his hand and they walked from the place where the woman had been created, through Paradise, examining everything and enjoying the creation. This place was the highest in the earthly Paradise: everything was resplendent and light and more pleasant than the other places in Paradise itself.
IV - The tree of Life and the tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil
In the middle of that brilliant garden I saw waters and within them an island, or rather a peninsula, because on one side it was joined by a dam.
This island, like the arm of land that connected it to the garden, was full of enormous trees. In the middle of the island there was a tree so beautiful that it surpassed everyone in beauty and at the same time covered and protected them. Its roots formed the entire island. This tree covered the entire island and from its pronounced width it narrowed until it ended in a graceful point. Its branches extended in a straight position and other branches grew from them like small trees, upwards. The hours were delicate and the yellow fruits hung from a pod and opened like a rose with its petals. It looked a lot like cedar. I don't remember seeing Adam or Eve, or any animal, for a walk on the island or around the tree. I only heard some very beautiful, noble and white birds singing loudly at the ends.
This tree was the tree of life.
Precisely in front of the dike or tongue of land, which led to the island, was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The trunk was scaly, like that of palm trees; leaves grew immediately from the trunk; They were very big and wide, like shoe soles. In front and hidden among the leaves were fruits, which hung in clusters of five, one of which protruded a little further than the other four that were on her nipple. This yellow fruit was not so much like an apple as it was like a pear or fig: It had five nerves or small branches. The inside of the fruit was soft, like that of a fig, the color of burnt sugar, crossed by veins the color of blood. The tree was wider at the top than at the bottom and the branches reached deep into the earth.
I still see this species of tree today in countries with hot climates. It sends shoots from its branches into the ground and the roots grow and new trunks appear, which in turn take root again, so that these similar trees often cover a large area of land and sometimes rest under their shade entire families of walkers. A little to the right of the tree of knowledge I saw a small rounded hill, like an egg, covered in luminous red granites and all kinds of precious stones of different colors. It was full of precious crystal shapes. Around the small hill were beautiful trees of such height that it was possible to stand in them without being observed. There were also herbs and bushes around. These small trees had buds and fruits, comforting and colorful. A short distance to the left of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, there was a depression, a small valley, covered in a delicate white powder like fog, with white flowers and fruit stamens. There were a variety of plants, but they were more colorless and more like powder than fruit. It was as if the two places had an intimate relationship: as if the hill had been taken from the valley or if the valley had to be filled with the hill. They were like a seed and a field to sow. Both places felt sacred to me. I've seen them shine, especially the small part. Between these places and the tree of knowledge were several bushes and small trees. This entire complex and all created nature seemed transparent, full of light. Both places were homes of our first parents. The tree of knowledge was like a division between them. I think I saw that God pointed out these places to them after the creation of Eve. In fact, at first I didn't see them together very often. I saw them without desire for each other: each one retired to the place he preferred. The animals were inexpressibly noble, covered in a gentle glow, and served our first parents. Each one had his own place of retreat, according to his nature and customs, according to his classes. All the places of the various animals and their classes were related to one another with a great mystery of the eternal laws that God had established in creation.
V - The sin of our first parents
I saw how Adam and Eve strolled through Paradise on earth for the first time. The animals came out to meet them and served and accompanied them.
I saw that they had more of a relationship with Eve than with Adam. It seemed to me that Eve had more to do with the earth and the creatures of nature; She looked down and around more and seemed more curious and investigative. Adam was quieter and more directed towards God, his Creator, than towards creatures.
Among all the creatures there was one who, more than the others, liked Eve. He was an indescribably pleasant, friendly and flattering little animal.
I don't know of any other animal in nature that can be compared to it.
He was completely erect, with a thin body, he seemed to have no bones; Its hind legs were short and it ran on them3. It had a tail ending in a point, which reached and dragged across the ground, and above, near the head, it also had two small, very short legs. The head was round and pointed in appearance and sometimes showed a very mobile tongue. The color of the belly, chest and neck was yellowish white, and above, the upper part was darker, almost like an eel. His height, when lifted, was like that of a ten year old child. She was always near Eva, and was so friendly and flattering, so mobile and interested in showing herself and surrounding Eva, that she took great pleasure in her company. However, this little animal had something mysteriously frightening to me and I still have it now before my eyes. I saw neither Adam nor Eve touch it. In fact, before the fall, there was a great distance between man and animals. I never saw the first men in the world touch animals, and even when animals were domesticated and more closely related to men, some stayed further away from animals.
When Adam and Eve returned to that shining place, there appeared before them a luminous face, like that of a noble and severe man, with luminous white hair, and it seemed to me that, showing them all nature, he gave it to them, and this something, in return, he commanded them to observe. They did not seem shy in his presence and listened to him without showing fear. When this Being disappeared it seemed to me that they were even more content, happier, and that they understood more and found greater order in everything they saw in nature. They felt a great desire to be grateful, and this feeling was greater in Adam than in Eve, who found more contentment in her happiness and looked more at things than at gratitude to God.
She was not as immersed in God as Adam; she had more of her soul in nature. I think they walked through Paradise on Earth three times. I saw Adam thanking and marveling at the beauty of creation, on the little luminous hill where he had been immersed in sleep and visions, by the work of God, when Eve was created and taken from his side. Adam was alone under the trees.
I saw Eve approach the tree of knowledge as if she wanted to pass through it. That little animal was with her again and seemed even more flattering, flattering and excited. Eva was very excited about the little animal and felt great pleasure in being in her company. The animal climbed the tree to such a height that its head reached Eve's; He held on to the tree with his feet.
He turned his head to Eva and spoke. He said that if they ate the fruit of the tree they would be free and no longer slaves, and they would know what form their descendants would take. They already knew they would have children; But I understood that they still didn't know how God wanted them, and that if they had known, they would have sinned despite that, redemption would not have been possible. Eve became more and more curious about the things the serpent told her. Something happened to her that plunged her into darkness. I trembled for her. She looked at Adam, who was absorbed under the trees. Eve called him and he responded to her call. Eva went to meet her and then retreated. An indecision, a restlessness were evident in her. He turned as if he wanted to pass by the tree's place; but she approached him from the left side and stood behind him covered by the long fallen leaves. The tree was wider at the top than at the bottom and the leaves fell heavily to the ground. There was also a particularly beautiful fruit hanging in the part where Eve was. When Adam arrived at the place, Eve took him by the arm and pointed to the animal that spoke, and Adam also heard her words. Eva took his arm, it was the first time she did that. Adam did not touch it and I saw that there was already darkness in it. I saw that the serpent pointed to the fruit; but he dared not snatch it for Eve.
But as soon as Eve expressed her desire to have the fruit, the serpent broke it and gave it to Eve. It was the most beautiful fruit in the middle of a bunch of five fruits together that hung on the tree. I saw that Eve approached Adam with the fruit and gave it to him, because without her consent the guilt and the first sin would not have been committed. I saw the fruit rot in Adam's hands and he saw figures inside it.
It seemed like they knew what to ignore. The inner part of the fruit was crisscrossed with blood-colored veins. I saw how they darkened, lost the brightness that surrounded them and their faces lost their serenity. It seemed to me that even the sun was leaving. The serpent went down to the base of the tree and fled on all fours.
I did not see the fruit being eaten, as is done today, with the mouth; but the fruit disappeared from his hands. I understood that Eve had already sinned when the serpent was in the tree, because Eve's will was already with the serpent. I knew something then that I cannot adequately explain now. It was as if the serpent was the figure and external representation of Eve's will, as if it were a being with whom she could do and achieve everything. Into this will (in figure) Satan entered.
When tasting the forbidden fruit, the sin was not yet complete; but this fruit of such a tree, which spreads its branches on the ground and reproduces new plants of the same species, which do the same later when planted in the ground, has in itself the meaning of a transplant and a power of reproduction of its own, and this reproduction is like a sinful transplant, separated from God. In this way, the separation of the creature from its God and reproduction in and for itself, and self-love, in human nature was accomplished through disobedience and the enjoyment of the fruit. The fact of tasting the fruit, which had this meaning and concept in itself, resulted in a reversal, a backwards movement in nature, and brought sin and death. The blessing of holy and pure offspring in God and through God, which Adam received after the creation of Eve, was taken away from him after tasting the fruit. I saw how when Adam left his place on the little hill to go to Eve, who called him, the Lord came up behind him and took something from his body. I was convinced that the salvation of the world must come from this. I once had, on the feast of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, a vision from God about this mystery. I saw in Adam and Eve the beginning of the bodily and spiritual life of all men, and how through sin and the fall this life was corrupted and mixed, and how the fallen angels then acquired power over men. I saw in this vision how the second Person of the Holy Trinity descended upon Adam and with a kind of twisted knife extracted this blessing from him before he consented to sin. At the same moment I saw the Immaculate Virgin emerge from Adam's side, from where the blessing had been taken, and ascend like a luminous cloud to God in his glory.
With the tasting of the forbidden fruit, Adam and Eve became intoxicated and with their consent to sin a great change was wrought in them. Then the serpent was among them. They were as if they were penetrated by the essence of that being and then the tares were seen among the good wheat. Circumcision was instituted as penance and punishment. Just as the vineyard is pruned so that the fruit, the wine, is not wild nor the plant sterile, so it was necessary to do with man so that he could be ennobled again.
Once, when reparation for guilt was shown to me in vision, I saw a painting where Eve emerged from Adam's side and was already stretching her neck towards the forbidden fruit, running quickly and hugging the tree. And then I saw another painting where, on the contrary, Jesus, born of the Immaculate Virgin Mary, was seen running towards the tree of the cross and embracing it. On this occasion I saw that Eve's descendants, darkened by sin, were purified by the sufferings of Jesus, and I understood that the forbidden pleasure of man's flesh must be torn away through the pain of penance. The words of the Epistle (Gal. 4,30-31) where it says that the slave's son should not be an heir, I always understood in the sense that under the name of slave the flesh and the subjection of the woman were understood in the same way. Marriage is a state of penance and requires selflessness, prayer, fasting, the need to give alms and the intention of increasing the kingdom of God with one's children.
VI – Consequences of the sin of Adam and Eve
Before sin, Adam and Eve were very different from what we are now, miserable mortals. With the tasting of the forbidden fruit they took shape in themselves and a realization of things (Sache-Werden) and what until then was spiritual, became carnal, a material thing, an instrument, a container. Until then they were one in God, they loved each other in God and for God; Now they were detached in their own love and will, and this very will is self-love, addiction to sin, impurity. Through the enjoyment of the forbidden fruit, man separated himself from his Creator and something as if man had taken creation for himself was accomplished; and in this way all forces, properties and their relation to each other and to all nature became corporeal and tangible in man, things of infinite phases and varied forms. Before, man was, by God, the lord of all nature; Now everything that exists in man has become nature and he is like a master enslaved and subject to his own servant. Now he has to fight with the one who was his slave. I cannot express it better, but it seems that I can say that previously man was the center and foundation of all created things, when he was in God and with God, and through sin he received within himself this nature that became the owner of man and tyrannizes him.
I saw in paintings the entire interior of man, his organs as if they were in flesh and body, like a fallen and corrupt form. I saw the relationship that exists between the beings of nature, from the distant stars to the smallest of animals. All this nature acts and influences man; He depends on all these things and has to understand them and deal with them, and with all of them he has some dependence and opportunity for sustenance and struggle. I cannot say it more clearly, precisely because I am also a member of fallen humanity.
Man was created to fill the choir of fallen angels. If there had been no sin, Adam's descendants would have multiplied to fill the number of fallen angels, and then creation would have been completed. If Adam and Eve had lived at least one generation without sin, they would have been confirmed in grace: they would no longer have fallen.
I have been assured that the end of the world will not come until the number of fallen angels is completed with the elect and all the wheat separated from the chaff has been gathered into the barns of the Lord.
I once had a complete and infinite vision of all faults and sins and their solution and reparation. I saw all these mysteries clearly and understood them, but now I cannot express them in words. I saw guilt from the fall of the angels and the sin of Adam to the sins of the present time in all their infinite ramifications, and I also saw all the preparations for remedy and redemption through all time until the death of Jesus. Jesus himself showed me the inconceivable invention and inner impurity of all things and of everything he did from the beginning to purify and restore what had fallen and lost.
With the fall of the angels came many evil spirits into the earth and air. I saw how many things are as if absorbed and possessed by their evil influence. The first man was an image of God; It was like paradise. All was one in Him and with Him His own form was a likeness of the divine form. He was destined to possess created things and enjoy them; but he had to do this in God and for God, and in gratitude for his goodness. He was also free and therefore subject to judgment: that is why he was prohibited.
He was able to eat the fruit of the tree. At first everything was uniform and flat.
When the hill, the luminous height where Adam was, rose, and formed and sank the little white valley of fruitful dust, where Eve was, the tempter had already approached.
After the guilt everything changed and changed. All forms of creation relaxed and dispersed in a thousand ways. What was one became multiple, and men no longer expected only from God, but only from themselves.
Now there were really two, then there were three, and finally a crowd.
Before they were images of God: now they were images of themselves. They were now in relationship and contact with the fallen angels. They received it from themselves and from the earth, with which the fallen angels had influence. For this reason, there has been an endless mixing and dispersion of humanity among themselves and with fallen nature, followed by an endless sequence of sins, guilt and miseries of all kinds.
My divine Husband showed me all this very clearly, as intelligibly and clearly as life and everyday things are seen, and I thought then: 'A child can understand this. However, now it is not possible for me to explain: Jesus showed me the plan and the means of Redemption from the beginning and made me see everything He had done in this regard. I also understood that it is not correct to say: 'God did not need to become man and die on the cross for us; He could, in His omnipotence, have done it otherwise." I understood that He acted this way because of His infinite perfection, His infinite goodness, and His infinite justice; that there is no duty in God, but He does what He does and is what is it.
VII – The promise of Redemption
After the fall of man, God showed the angels how he wanted to repair fallen humanity. I saw on the throne of God, in the adorable Trinity, a movement of the divine Persons. I saw the choirs of angels and how God revealed to them how He intended to repair humanity fallen into sin. When I heard him, I saw an indescribable joy in all the angelic choirs. I saw that little mound of glass and precious stones, where Adam was, being taken by the angels to the throne of God. This mound was filled, grew, became a throne, a tower, and spread out so that it covered everything.
I saw the nine choirs of angels around this tower and above these angels, in the heavens, the image of the Immaculate Virgin. She was Mary, not in time: she was Mary, in God and in eternity. It was something that came from God. The Virgin entered the tower, which opened and merged into one. At that moment I saw something come out of the Holy Trinity and enter the tower. Among the angels I saw a monstrance where everyone was working. It also looked like a tower with some mysterious figures; Among them I saw two figures who held each other's hands. This Ostesory grew and became more splendid and magnificent. I saw something come out of God among the choirs of angels and enter the Monstrance, something sacred, which became more noticeable as I approached the Monstrance. It seemed to me that it was the germ of the divine blessing for pure offspring which God had given to Adam and which He took from him at the moment when he was about to hear Eve's voice and consent to taste the forbidden fruit. This germ of blessing was later given to Abraham and taken from Jacob when he wrestled with the angel. It was later passed, through Moses, to the Ark of the Covenant and finally given to Joachim, Mary's father, so that she could be conceived as pure and immaculate as Eve was taken from Adam's side immersed in sleep by God.
The Monstrance also entered the first tower. I saw a cup prepared by the angels in the same way as the cup of the Last Supper, which also entered the tower. On the outer right side of the tower you could see, as if in a small cloud, an ear of wheat and a vine intertwined like two hands in hand. From this union a family tree was born, on whose branches there were small figures of men and women holding hands. The last sprout ended in a cradle with the Child.
I then saw in images the mystery of Redemption as a promise until the times are fulfilled, as well as the effects of a contrary diabolical action. Finally I saw on the small hill or luminous rock a great and splendid Temple, which was the One, Holy and Catholic Church, which carries within itself, alive, the salvation of the entire universe. In all these paintings there was a wonderful correlation between one thing and another. I saw that even the evil and the wicked, which were set aside by the angels, ultimately served the further development of salvation and redemption. Thus I saw the ancient temple rising from below, similar to the holy Church; but there was no tower. It was quite big; but he was thrown aside by the angels and was left leaning on his side.
I saw a shell (idolatrous cult) appear and try to enter the temple; but she was cast aside by the guardian angels. Then I saw a wide, blunt tower (Egyptian pyramid) appear, through whose doors crossed numerous faces like those of Abraham and the children of Israel. This indicated the slavery of the Jews in Egypt. This pyramid was also thrown aside, like another multi-story Egyptian tower, which meant vain stargazing, astrology and divination. Finally I saw an Egyptian temple, which was also on its side, resting on its base.
Finally I saw in a painting on earth how God announced redemption to Adam, where a Virgin appeared who would bring him lost grace and salvation. Adam, however, did not know when this would happen, and later I saw him very sad to see that Eve gave him his first sons and later a daughter.
I saw Noah and his sacrifice, during which he received God's blessing. Then I saw visions of Abraham, his blessing and the promise of Isaac. I saw how this blessing of birthright passed from one firstborn to another, always as a sacrament. I saw that Moses received the mystery (the germ of pure descent taken from Adam) on the night of his departure from Egypt and that only Aaron was aware of the existence of such a mystery and sacrament. I saw this mystery kept in the Ark of the Covenant, and that only the High Priest and some saints, by revelation from God, were aware of the existence of this mystery. This is how I saw the course of this mystery: it went from Jesus' family tree to Joachim and Anna, who were the purest and holiest consorts of all times, from whom Mary, the immaculate Virgin, would be born. From that moment on, Mary herself was the ark that contained the mystery in its realization.
VIII – Adam and Eve are expelled from the earthly Paradise
I saw Adam and Eve wandering from place to place, full of sadness and despair. Their faces were gloomy and they walked separately, as if searching for something lost. They were ashamed of each other. With each step they took, they went further down; It felt like the floor was slipping beneath his feet. Wherever they stepped, the plants withered and lost their luster, and turned to ash; and the animals fled from them in fear. They looked for and picked up some large leaves and tied them around their waists, and continued walking, distanced from each other. After they had walked in this manner for a long time, the place from which they had come had already receded into the distance and seemed like a distant elevation or mountain. Adam and Eve sought refuge, separately, among the bushes of a dark valley.
Then a voice from above called them. They, however, did not appear. They became more scared, ran away and hid in the bushes. This caused me a lot of sadness. The voice became more severe. They hid further; but they were forced to show themselves. A stern and splendid face appeared. They appeared with their heads bowed and did not dare to look at the face of God. They looked at each other and blamed each other for their disobedience. Then God indicated to them a place even lower, where there were bushes and trees, and only here did they become more humble and fully recognize all their misery and sin. When They were alone, I saw them praying. They broke apart and fell to their knees on the ground, raised their hands to the sky, screamed and cried. When I saw this I thought how much it helps and how healthy it is to separate yourself in solitude to give yourself to prayer. They now had a garment that covered their bodies from the shoulders to the knees. Around the body was a bundle of clothes.
As they fled, it seemed to me that the earthly Paradise behind them was receding and rising upward like a cloud. With that he came from the sky like a ring of fire, exactly like a halo around the sun or the moon, and landed high up where Paradise once stood. They were in Paradise only one day. Even now I see Earthly Paradise, in the distance, like a bench beneath the sun as it rises. The sun, it seems, rises to the right, at the end of this bank. It is located east of the Mount of the Prophets, where the sun rises and always appears to me like an egg floating among admirably clear and clear waters, which separated it from the land. The Mount of the Prophets looked like a mountain placed in front of Paradise. On the Mount of the Prophets you could see green places, and between them deep gorges filled with water. I saw people climb the Mount of the Prophets but they didn't reach very high.
Then I saw Adam and Eve arrive in the land of penance. It was moving to see our penitent first parents lying on the floor. Adam managed to take an olive branch from Paradise, which he planted right there. Later, firewood was taken from this tree for the Savior's Cross. Our parents were extremely sad. From the place where I saw them they could barely see Paradise. They were always moving away, descending, and it also seemed like something was being revealed; and so they arrived at night, in darkness, to the place where they were to do penance.
IX - Adam's family
It was the place where the Garden of Olives was later located, where I saw Adam and Eve arrive and stop. The lay of the land was then different; but I was shown that it was the same place. I saw them live and do penance in the place where Jesus sweated blood. They worked this land. I saw them surrounded by sons and with great sadness crying out to God to give them daughters. They waited on the promise that the woman would crush the serpent's head.
Eve gave Adam children at certain times; but there were always some years of penance between these periods. Thus was born Set, the son of promise, after seven years of penance; He was born precisely in the cave that later became Bethlehem. An angel told Eve that Set was given to her by the innocent Abel. Seven remained hidden for a long time on that path and in another cave nearby, called Abraham's nursing cave, because his brothers persecuted him to his death, just as his brothers envied and persecuted Joseph.
Once I saw eleven people around Adam: they were Eve, Cain, Abel, two sisters and other small children. They were all dressed in furs, which fell like scapulars around their waists. These skins were wider at the front of the chest and served as pockets. The legs were more open and closed with ties on the sides. Men wore skins and tighter clothing, as well as a bag to store their belongings. On the shoulders, up to the middle of the forearm, there were these thin white skins, and in women they were also held under the arm. The appearance of these people dressed like this was very beautiful and noble. I saw their huts that were somewhat set into the ground, covered with branches and plants as a roof. I realized that they had a perfect domestic organization. I saw meadows covered in small fruit trees, but with sturdy trunks. I also saw wheat and various grains that God had given Adam to sow. I don't remember seeing wheat or vines in Paradise on Earth. There was no food there that needed to be prepared to eat. The preparation of food is a penalty for sin and a symbol of pain. God gave Adam everything he should sow. For this I remember having seen in Noah's time some men, like angels, giving something to this patriarch when he entered the ark; It looked to me like it was a piece of vine stuck in an apple.
At that time, a type of wild wheat was already growing, and Adam had to separate the good wheat from this wild cereal. This improved nature, but over time this cereal deteriorated until it became spoiled.
This wild cereal grew very well and improved in early times, especially in the Eastern region, such as India and China, when there were still few men in the world. In regions where vineyards abound and there are waters with fish, this cereal does not thrive. I saw that they drank milk from some animals and made cheese that dried in the sun. Among the animals I saw sheep. All the animals that Adam named in Paradise later followed him to earth; but they fled from him, and Adam had to lure them and tame them by giving them food. I saw many birds fluttering, small animals and jumping goats.
A patriarchal domestic order reigned there. I saw the children of Adam eating in a hut; The food was placed on a large stone that served as a table. I saw them pray and give thanks for the food. God taught Adam to offer sacrifices, and Adam was a priest in his family. Cain and Abel were also family members. Preparations were made in separate huts. Their heads were covered by a ship-shaped hood woven from reeds and leaves, with a protruding point at the front to facilitate gripping. The appearance and color of their faces were something beautiful, rusty, shiny, like silk, and they had golden-blond hair. Adam had long hair. At first I saw him with a short beard, and later with a long beard. I saw Eva at the beginning with her hair loose and rough; Later she tied them in braids, on her head, like a cap. I saw the fire they used as embers, which they kept hidden in holes in the ground. They received it from heaven for the first time. God taught them the use of fire. It was a yellow material, like earth or clay, which they used as charcoal to burn. I didn't see them cook; However, at first I saw them exposing them to the sun and roasting. I also saw them exposing crushed grains of wheat to the sun's rays, placed in small cavities made in the ground, covered with covers made of intertwined branches. The grains that God gave them were wheat, rye and barley. God instructed them in their cultivation, as well as guiding them in other works and needs.
I did not then see great rivers, like the Jordan; but fountains gushed out that divided into channels or were trapped in lagoons. Before Abel's death they had not eaten meat.
Once, on Mount Calvary, I had a vision of how a prophet, companion of Elijah, entered some caves that were then under that mountain, walled, which served as tombs. There he found a stone sarcophagus containing Adam's skull bones. Then an angel appeared to him and said to him, 'This is Adam's skull.'
And he forbade her to take those bones out of there. There were still fine blond hairs on that skull. I learned that, through the narrative of this prophet, the name of the Skull was given to that place. Precisely over the place of that skull, the cross of Jesus Christ came to rest his sacred feet. I knew in vision that that place is the midpoint of the world. I was shown this with numbers, calculating for the East, the South and the West. But I forgot those numbers.
X - Cain and Abel
I saw that Cain made the decision to kill Abel in the place that was the Garden of Olives and that later he was wandering and fleeing there. He planted a tree and took it down again. Then I saw the bright and stern man, who asked, 'Cain, where is your brother Abe!?'... Cain did not see him at first; I don't know. It was not given to me to keep." When God spoke and said that Abel's blood cried out from the ground, Cain was filled with fear.
However, I saw that he disputed with God for a long time. God told him that he would be cursed on the earth, that it would not bear fruit, and that he would wander from place to place. Then Cain said he would be killed anywhere.
There were then many men on earth. Cain was already old and had many children, just like Abel. There were other brothers and sisters of Cain and Abel there. God told him they would not kill him; that whoever did this would be punished seven times more. He then gave him a sign so that he would be recognized and that no one would dare kill him. His descendants were men of color.
Ham also had darker colored sons than Shem's. The noblest men were always white.
Those who were marked with this mark had similar children and with the increase in the wickedness of their descendants this stain spread to their entire bodies and these men subsequently became increasingly blacker. Still, in the beginning there were no completely black men; This was accentuated with changing times. God showed Cain a place to take refuge.
As Cain said: 'Yes, I will die of hunger, because the ground is cursed for me', God said to him: 'No!'; and that he would eat the flesh of animals and that a people would be born from him and that something good would come out of him. Before that, men did not eat meat. Later, Cain left this place and built a stable city, which he named Enoch, after his son.
Abel was killed in the Valley of Jehoshaphat, near Mount Calvary. Later, many deaths and misfortunes occurred at this place. Cain killed Abel with a kind of nail or mass, with which he broke stones and boulders, while planting and cultivating the land. I think it was made of very hard stone, with a wooden handle, as it had a curve like a hook.
XI – Appearance of men in general – The giants – Some Patriarchs
The configuration of the Earth before the flood was very different from what it is now. For example, the Holy Land was not as full of caves, crevices and valleys as it is today. The plains were much larger and the mountains had very gentle slopes that were easy to climb. The Garden of Olives was just a small hill. The Belém cave already existed, as a natural cave, but the environment was very different from what it is now.
The men were taller than now, but without defects. We would now view them with admiration, without fear or discontent. They were more perfect in their bodily constitution. Among some marble statues that I see in abundance in underground places, I find these examples.
Cain took his sons and his sons' sons to the region assigned to him, and from there they divided again and separated into other regions. I saw nothing reprehensible in Cain; His punishment was that he was very tired and nothing went right for him. I saw him little esteemed by his own children and by his children's children; sometimes despised, never treated well. Despite this, they obeyed him as a boss and leader, but as someone cursed by God. I know that Cain is not condemned; He was just severely punished5.
One of Cain's descendants was Tubalcain; From him came several habits and from him also came the giants. I have seen many times that in the fall of the angels, a certain number of them had a moment of repentance6, or of doubt, and that they did not fall as deeply as the others. These angels were given a home on a lonely, high and inaccessible mountain, which in the universal flood dissolved and became a sea of water, creating the Dead Sea. These angels had the power to deceive men when they turned away from God. After the flood they disappeared from that place and dispersed into the air. Only at the final judgment will they be cast into hell. I saw Cain's descendants become more and more wicked and sensual. They headed more and more towards these places, and the fallen angels took possession of many of those evil women and directed them, teaching them all kinds of mischief and seductions. The children of these mixtures were of great stature; They were full of all kinds of tricks and devices and became instruments of the spirits and fallen angels. In this way, a race of people formed on that mountain and around it who, by force and seduction, tried to pervert the descendants of the righteous Seth. It was then that God announced the flood to Noah, and the patriarch had to suffer a lot because of it. because of these wicked and wicked people.
I have seen many things about this city of giants. With great ease they carried huge stones to the high mountains; They became more daring and did entirely wonderful work. I have seen them climb straight up the trunks of trees and the walls of buildings, just as those possessed by the devil do today. They could do everything, even the things that seemed most extraordinary; but most of them were phantasmagoria and artifices made by diabolical art. For this reason I conceived a great aversion to all games of magic, prestige and divination. They made all kinds of figures and works in metal and stone. They had no trace of the knowledge of God and made all kinds of idols to worship. I saw that suddenly they made a perfect image of any stone and worshiped it, or some terrible animal or other object of abjection. They knew everything; they saw everything; they prepared poisons; They exercised magic and indulged in all kinds of sins.
Women invented music. I have seen them go from one place to another to seduce the best races and lead them into the disorders they practiced.
They did not build houses like ours, but they made round and very thick towers of shining stones, at the bases of which rested small dwellings, which led to extensive caves, where they indulged in horrible disorders and sins. On the roofs of these buildings you could walk. They climbed the towers and observed through certain telescopes at very great distances; but not because of the perfection of these instruments, but because of satanic art. They saw where there were other towns and cities; They went there and defeated them and introduced their customs of debauchery: everywhere they introduced this false freedom. I saw them offer sacrifices of children, which they buried alive. God deeply sank this mountain with its inhabitants in the universal flood.
Enoch, Noah's ancestor, preached against these wicked people. He also wrote a lot; He was a very good man and very grateful to God. In many places in the fields he erected stone altars, and where the land produced fruit, he offered sacrifices to God and gave thanks for the benefits received. Thus he preserved religion in Noah's family. He was transferred to the earthly Paradise and rested at the exit door, and with him another (Elijah). From that place in Paradise he must return to the tent before the final judgment. The children of Ham and their descendants also had dealings with evil spirits after the flood; and that is why there were among them so many possessed, so many devoted to magic, and powerful according to the world, and men equally great, bold, and unrestrained. Semiramis arose from the union of these influenced by evil spirits. She could do anything; He just ignored the art of saving himself eternally. From these giants also emerged powerful men, later considered gods among pagan peoples.
The first women who let themselves be possessed by these demons knew what they were doing; the others did not know this, but they already had it incorporated into their flesh and blood as another original guilt.
XII - Noah and his descendants
I saw Noah as a childish-looking old man, covered in long white clothes, working in an orchard of fruit trees. He pruned the trees with a gnarled stone knife. It approached like a cloud beside him and the image of a man appeared in it. Noah knelt before the apparition and I understood that God told him that he wanted to destroy humanity and that Noah should build an ark. Noah was very sad about this and I saw him asking for forgiveness and mercy. Noah did not begin his work immediately and the Lord appeared to him twice more ordering him to begin construction. If he did not do so, he himself would be involved in the general destruction. I then saw him leave the country and go with his family to the region where Zoroaster (the shining star) later lived. He lived in a higher, wooded and more solitary region, with many people who emigrated with him, in tents. There he had an altar before which he offered sacrifices. Noah and his family did not build houses of material, because they already believed in God's announcement about the flood. The neighboring unbelieving cities, on the other hand, had material villages, stone defenses, thick walls, and all kinds of buildings to defend themselves from divine threats. A terrible disorder then reigned on earth. Men have given themselves over to all disorders, even the most unnatural. Everyone stole what they could. They invaded properties, houses and fields to destroy and overthrow them, and stole women and virgins to satisfy their perverse customs.
Also Noah's descendants, as they increased and moved away from him, became perverted and caused many problems by plundering their inheritance and giving themselves over to vices. Men of that time were not cruel because of ignorance or because they were savages. or uncivilized; they received everything that was necessary, they lived comfortably and there was general well-being: they were evil because of corruption and impiety. They practiced the most abject idolatry: each one made an idol of what they liked and adored.
They tried, with diabolical methods, to pervert Noah's children as well.
Mosoch, son of Japheth and grandson of Noah, was seduced and became the victim of seduction. While working in the field, he drank the juice of a plant and became intoxicated. What they drank was not wine, but the juice of a plant that they carried in small containers to drink at work. I saw that they were also chewing the leaves and fruits of that plant. Mosoc was therefore the father of a child, who was called Hom. When the child was born, he asked his brother Tubal to take care of the child to hide his shame, and Tubal agreed. The boy Hom was placed by his mother in front of Tubal's tent, placing beside him a shoot of the mucous plant called Hom, with which, according to custom, he believed to secure the rights of inheritance. But the time of the Flood was near and so the traps of these women ended. Tubal took the child for himself and brought him to his home without revealing his origin. This explains why the child also entered Noah's ark. Tubal named him after the plant Hom, because it was the only thing he found with the child. The child was not fed with milk, but with the juice of that plant. This plant reaches the height of a man; However, when it crawls, it produces shoots with soft tips like asparagus; the lower part is more difficult. It serves as food and a substitute for milk. It grows from a tuber and a crown of some dark leaves forms on the ground. Its trunk becomes quite thick and its pith turns into flour, which is served boiled or fried, or to add to delicacies.
Where this plant grows you can see very large expanses. I saw that this plant entered Noah's ark.
XIII - Details of the Ark and proximity to the Flood
A considerable time passed in building the ark until it was completed. Noah spent many years doing this. Three times he was warned by God. He hired workers and assistants; So he abandoned his work, thinking that God would forgive, and postponed his task until he finally completed it successfully. I saw that in the manufacture of the ark, as in the cross of Christ, various types of wood were used: palm trees, olive trees, cedars and cypresses. They felled and prepared the wood in the same place. Noah carried logs on his shoulders to his work site, and it reminded me of Jesus carrying his cross on his back. The manufacturing site was a small hill surrounded by plains. I saw how they laid the foundations of the ark.
The ark was round at the back, the bottom was hollow like a trough and tarred.
It had two floors; The columns were arranged one on top of the other. They were hollow and not round logs; They were round along their length, at the intersection, and had a white pith inside that joined in the middle. The trunks had grooves and large leaves grew around the trunk without grooves. I saw how they made the marrow come out with an instrument. They cut the wood from the trees into thin planks. When Noah finished loading and organizing everything needed, they began to build the ark. The base was already laid and asphalted; the first rows of posts, placed; All holes made during the work were covered with pitch. On this first floor the second was placed, and above it a row of posts for the third compartment and the roof. The cracks and interstices between the posts and the wood were covered with thin, dark, yellow wood, with intertwined fibers, and the openings, even the smallest ones, were covered with cotton and a whitish moss that was abundant on certain trees. The entire exterior and interior were covered with a layer of tar and bitumen. The roof was round. In the middle, on one side and halfway up, was the door, and on both sides, two windows. In the middle of the roof there was a square opening. When it was finished and painted with that shiny material, it shone like a mirror in the sun's rays. For a long time Noah worked alone inside the ark, checking the animals. The animals were separated from each other according to their classes, and there were two paths in the middle of the ark. In the back and round part of the ark there was a wooden altar, whose table formed a semicircle.
There was also a separate place, around the altar, with sheets and rugs. In front of the altar there was a brazier with fire and coals, which was like a fireplace. To the right and left there were separations between houses and rooms. They had inside them all kinds of belongings and boxes, and many seeds and plants, which they placed on the floor, next to the walls of the ark, which looked green due to the multitude of plants. I saw that they also had vines inside with yellow clusters a cubit long.
It is impossible to express how much Noah suffered in the construction of the ark due to the wickedness and obstinacy of the workers who helped him, whom he paid with animals and skins. They mocked him, despised him in every way and called him crazy. They worked for an abundant salary, but they did not stop blaspheming and mocking. No one knew who Noah was building the ark for, and that's why he suffered all kinds of injuries. I saw how, finally, when he was done, he thanked God. The Lord appeared to him and told him to return to the four corners of the world and with a reed flute call the animals that would enter. As the time of the flood approached, the sky grew darker and an inexplicable fear spread across the land; the sun did not rise; A continuous thunder shook the spirits. I saw Noah walk to the four corners of the world and play his flute. At his call the animals came in order, in pairs, males and females, and passed along a wooden walkway placed in front of the door of the ark, and which was then taken inside. The larger animals came first and entered; First, white elephants and camels. They arrived full of that fear they usually have when a storm approaches. The arrival and entry of the animals lasted several days. The birds flew continuously, penetrating through the roof opening. The waterfowl ended up at the bottom of the ark. Land animals in the space between. The birds were under the roof, perched on stakes or in cages. The animals to be sacrificed entered together in seven pairs. When the finished ark was seen from afar, perched alone on the hill, it appeared bright with a bluish glow as if it came from the sky.
XIV - Noah enters the Ark with his people
The time of the flood had arrived. Noah had already announced this to his people. He took his sons Shem, Ham and Japheth, with their wives and their children and descendants: there were grandchildren of fifty and sixty years old, and of these, young and old children, who entered the ark. All those who worked to build the ark and were free from idolatry entered the ark. There were around a hundred people inside, this was necessary to give so many animals the food they needed and to clean the compartments. I cannot say anything other than that I saw the sons of Shem, Ham and Japheth enter the ark. I saw many creatures there, boys and girls; all of Noah's descendants who remained good. In the Holy Scriptures there is no mention of the children of Adam, except Cain, Abe! and Set, and yet I see many creatures among them and always in pairs, that is, boys and girls. The same thing is read in the first Epistle of Saint Peter of only eight persons who were in the ark; that is, the four patriarchs with their wives, from whom all others descended after the flood. I also saw the boy Hom in the ark, lying on a bark mat, bound tightly by a fur bandage. Since then I have seen many of these rugs, like children's cradles, after the Flood. I also saw in the cracks and in the stone and brick rooms these cavities full of cribs for children.
Jewish beds were usually in wall cavities.
When the ark rose above the waters and the men climbed onto the roofs, trees and mountains, and many corpses and trees were already seen floating in the waters, Noah and his people were already safe inside the ark.
Even before Noah entered the ark with his wife and his sons and his sons' wives, he asked God for mercy toward men. They removed the bridge from inside and closed the door behind them. He abandoned everything; also close relatives, with young children, as they had abandoned him when he was making the ark. Suddenly, an unprecedented storm broke out; Lightning struck the earth like pillars of fire, and torrents of water fell like streams from above. The hill on which the ark stood soon became an island. The calamity was then so great that I believe many would have converted even out of fear.
I saw a black demon, with a frightening appearance, start the black storm, inducing men to despair. Frogs and snakes sought refuge in some corner of the ark. At that time I saw no mosquitoes or insects; These appeared later, to the punishment and calamity of men.
I saw Noah offering sacrifices on the altar, covered with white and red sheets. Noah had several of Adam's bones in a round box, which he placed on the altar when he prayed and made sacrifices. I saw on its altar the chalice that Our Lord later used at the Last Supper; This cup was brought to Noah, while he was building the ark, by three beings in long, white robes, like the three men who appeared to Abraham to announce the birth of his son. They had come from a city that sank after the flood, and they spoke to Noah, telling him that, because he was a famous man, he should take that cup inside the ark, which contained a great mystery, so that it would not be lost in the disaster of the flood. flooding of the ark. In the cup there was a grain of wheat the size of a mirasol seed and a branch of vine. Noah put the two things in a yellow apple and placed them inside the cup, which had no lid. This branch had to grow and sprout outward. I later saw this cup in the possession of a descendant of Shem, who lived after the dispersion of Babel in the country of Semiramis and who was the father of the Samanes, who were removed by the work of Melchizedek from the power of Semiramis and transported to the land of Canaan. , and took with them this mysterious chalice.
XV – After the Flood
I saw the ark floating in the water and many dead bodies around it. The ark stopped on a high mountain, in eastern Syria, below; on an isolated and very rocky mountain. She was there for a long time.
I saw that the earth was already visible, although it was covered in mud and green mold. At first, after the Flood, they ate shells and fish, which were abundant everywhere; I saw the truest of them eat bread and birds when they multiplied.
They planted and cultivated the fields. The land was so fertile after the flood that they noticed that the wheat they planted had grains as large as corn; They also planted the root of the Hom plant, which was musilaginous. I saw Noah's tent, like Abraham's later, on a plain, and around it those of his sons and descendants.
I saw Ham's curse. Shem and Japheth received Noah's blessing on their knees, just as Abraham later blessed Isaac. I saw the curse that Noah pronounced against Ham come toward him like a black cloud and darken his face. He no longer had white skin like before. His sin was like the desecration of something sacred, like that of a man who tried to enter the Ark of the Covenant. I saw a very wicked descendant arise from Ham, who became more and more perverted and his body became darker. I saw that the most backward and degraded people were the descendants of Ham.
I cannot express how I have seen people grow and multiply and become dark in every way and become brutal. Yet among these degraded peoples there spread some light of truth and some desire to be enlightened.
XVI - Tubal and the descendants of Noah
When Tubal, son of Japheth, with his sons and the sons of his brother Mosoch, made Noah indicate the lands they should inhabit, there were already fifteen families. Noah's sons were moving away from the patriarch to more or less distant lands; but close to him. The families of Tubal and Mosoc moved away from Noah to occupy regions further away from that common center.
When Noah's sons finally multiplied and began to disunite, Tubal wanted to distance himself even further, so as not to have to communicate with the sons of Ham, who had already conceived the idea of building the tower of Babel. Tuba! and his sons did not contribute to the construction of the tower when they were later called upon to do so, just as Shem's sons also refused to cooperate. Tuba! He and his men went to Noah's tent so he could show them the territories they should occupy. Noah then lived on a mountain between Lebanon and the Caucasus. Noah wept because he loved this descendant who remained more pious than the others. He showed them a region facing the Northeast and reminded them of the commandments of God, and the offering of sacrifices, and made them promise that they would preserve the purity of their race, not mixing with the children of Ham. He gave them clothes and belts that he had kept in the ark, so that the heads of families could use them in the worship of God and in marriages, to be preserved from evil and unclean offspring. The adoration that Noah offered to God reminds me of the Mass ceremonies. It consisted of sentences and answers. Noah moved from one side of the altar to the other and at times bowed deeply. Noah gave them a leather bag with a bark container, inside which was a golden egg-shaped box, which in turn contained three small containers. They were also given tubers of the musilaginous plant called Hom. He gave them scrolls of bark and skins with inscriptions, on which I saw letters and signs, as well as small wooden sticks with signs and letters engraved on them.
The men of that time were beautiful in appearance, bright reddish-yellow in color. They wore furs, wool and belts; only the arms were covered. I saw how these skins fit together. Once they removed the skin from the animal, they adjusted it to the body so that it fit perfectly around its limbs. At first these men seemed very strange to me, seeing them so hairy, because they wore such tight furs that at first glance seemed natural to them. These men who emigrated did not take many things with them other than seeds and few belongings. They emigrated to the Northeast region. I didn't see camels among them, but I saw horses, donkeys and animals with very open horns, similar to those of deer. Later I saw these emigrants in a mountainous region, living in large tents attached to the mountain sides like the foliage of trees. I saw them digging, planting trees in long rows.
The other part of the mountain was colder, and then this whole region became colder, so that one of Tubal's grandsons, a certain Dsemschid, emigrated with all these people to the Southwest. Everyone who met Noah and said goodbye to him had already died, except for a few. Those who emigrated with Dsemschid, born in that place, took the elderly people who had remained, and with great care took them with them, placing them in baskets, to prevent them from getting tired.
XVII - Hom and his aberrations
When Tubal and his descendants said goodbye to Noah, I also saw the son of Mosoch, preserved in the ark, who migrated with them. Hom was already quite grown up. Later I saw him very different from the others: big, he looked like a giant, very serious and very unique in his way of being.
He wore a long cloak and seemed to be considered a priest. He often separated himself from others and spent many nights alone in rocks and mountain caves. On the tops of the mountains he observed the stars and exercised magic, and through diabolical art he saw visions, which he then ordered, wrote and taught, thus obscuring the pure teachings they received from Noah. The evil inclination he inherited from his mother mixed in him with the pure teaching inherited from Enoch and Noah, which until then was the beliefs of the children of Tubal.
Hom introduced false interpretations and distorted explanations through his diabolical visions and hallucinations of traditional pure truth.
Hom scrutinized and studied the course of the stars and through the devil's route he had visions in the form of truths, which he then took for truths, due to their similarity. In this way it led to idolatry and was the origin of the aberrations of paganism. Tubal was a good man. Hom's adventures and teachings disgusted him greatly and he was especially upset because one of his sons, Dsemschid's father, supported Hom. I heard Tubal lament saying, 'My children are not united. I wish I had stayed with Noah."
Hom managed to drive from the mountain where he lived, down a stream of water in two branches, which then formed a small stream and then a mighty river, through which I later saw them leave from there, under the guidance of their chief Dsemschid, to another region. Hom received a kind of cult from his supporters, as if he were a god. Among other errors, he taught that God is in fire. He mixed his mistakes, using water and that root that gave rise to his name and from which he fed, for his magic and charlatanism maneuvers. He planted this vegetable and then distributed it as a sacred food and as a medicine for illnesses, with such solemnity that a superstitious practice was born. He brought with him the sap of this plant in a dark container like a pestle. The handles were made of metal. These metal utensils came from another tribe that lived in a distant mountain, who worked with fire, fusing metals. I saw that flames of fire were coming out of those mountains, and that container with the detected metals was formed there.
Hom did not marry and did not reach old age. He told many stories about his own death, which he, like Derketo and his followers later, believed.
I saw him die in a horrible way. Nothing was left of him in the world, because the devil took him with him. For this reason, his supporters believed that, like the righteous Enoch, he had been taken to a sacred place. Dsemschid's father was taught by him and left him his spirit so that he could continue his work and take his place as head of this false religion.
XVIII - Dsemschid, leader and guide of people
Dsemschid, due to his wisdom, became the leader of his tribe, which very quickly increased and became a respectable people, which he led further and further south. Dsemschid was well educated and trained in the teachings of Hom. He was indescribably lively, quick in his movements, more active and better than Hom, who always seemed thoughtful and focused. Dsemschid translated the religion of Hom into practice; He added something more to these teachings and observed the stars a lot. The people who followed him already had a sacred cult of fire and were distinguished from others by signs typical of their race. People back then tended to be more separated by race and tribe than they are now, and they didn't mix as easily as they do today. Dsemschid was very concerned with maintaining the purity of his race and the improvement of his tribes; He separated, moved and placed them as he saw fit. Men lived with great freedom, although they were naturally subject to their guides.
The savage races that I saw and that I still see in many places have nothing to do with these races of men of natural and noble beauty, although simple, and I see that the savages of these places and islands had nothing of the audacity, fearlessness and strength of primitive men. . Dsemschid built, on the lands he gave to his tribes, tent villages, designed fields for crops, opened roads, bordering them with stones, and distributed people from one side to the other, providing them with animals, fruit trees, various plants and cereals. She rode on an expanse of land and struck with an instrument which she always carried in her hands; Immediately her people came and dug, cut trees, fenced and made wells. He was extremely strict and fair to his subordinates. I saw him as a tall, thin, yellow or reddish old man riding on a very agile and fast animal, yellow and black, similar to a donkey, but with thinner legs. I saw him in this animal around a patch of field, as the poor among us do, who surround a weed that he himself must cultivate. At certain points he would stop and hit the tip with an instrument, or drive a stake into the ground: there his men would stop and colonize. This instrument, which was later called 'Dsemschid's golden ploughshare', was in the shape of a Latin cross, a cubit in length, with a blade which, removed from the sheath, formed a right angle with the shaft. a hole in the ground.
The instrument was drawn on the garment, in place of pockets. He reminded me of the sign that Joseph and Asente always carried in Egypt, and with which Joseph measured and distributed the lands; only this one was better shaped like a cross and had a ring at the top where it could be closed. Dsemschid wore a cape that fell in folds from front to back. From the waist to the knees hung two pieces of leather, two in the front and two in the back, which were fastened on the sides under the knees. His feet were wrapped in leather and straps. On his chest he wore a golden shield. He had several of these shields, which changed according to festivities and different ritual occasions. He wore a crown of gold with spikes, which ended at the front in a protruding crown where a kind of pennant fluttered.
Dsemschid spoke a lot about Enoch: he knew that he had not died, but rather had been taken from this world. He taught that Enoch had transmitted to Noah all the truly good teachings: he called him the father and heir of all that was good. But he added that from Noah all this inheritance of truth and good came to him (Dsemschid). He also had, as I saw, an oval golden vessel which he wore hanging around his neck, in which, he said, was burning something mysterious and good, which Noah kept in the ark and which he had received. in inheritance. I saw that where he, in his wanderings, stopped to found a city, he erected a column and on it he placed, in a place of gold, that golden container. The column had carved figures: it was a beautiful construction and at the top there was a small temple as if it were a sanctuary. The lid of the container had a kind of crown with an opening and when Dsemschid lit the fire, he would take something out of the container and pour it into the fire. In fact, I saw that the container was in the ark and that Noah stored the fire in it. For this reason it became a kind of sanctuary and sacred object for Dsemschid and his people.
When it was exposed to the public, the fire before which they worshiped and sacrificed animals always burned. Dsemschid taught them that the great God dwells in light and fire, and that this God has many other spirits and demigods who serve him. All the cities submitted to his rule; He settled men and women in one place and another, giving them farm animals, making them cultivate and sow the field. These people could not part with themselves, but Dsemschid managed them like herds and gave the women to the men according to his will. He practiced polygamy, had several wives and especially a very beautiful one, of better origin, from whom he had a son who was his successor and heir. He built large round towers, which were climbed by steps and from which he explored and observed the stars. The women, who lived separately and closely linked, wore short robes and, on the chest and upper part of the body, braided leather; Some ornament hung behind him and around his neck and over his shoulders, down to his knees, a wide cloth descended at the bottom, round in shape. This clothing was decorated, on the chest and shoulders, with signs or letters. I saw that in all the regions where Dsemschid founded cities, he had roads built that went in a straight line to the place where the Tower of Babel was built.
Where this leader of cities settled, there were still no inhabitants. He did not, therefore, have to expel or displace anyone; everything went peacefully; He only saw people and buildings there. The race of Dsemschid was reddish-yellow, like bright ochre; She was truly a beautiful breed of man. All the different breeds were countermarked, to recognize them and preserve the noblest of mixtures. I saw your people cross a high snowy mountain. I don't know how he made it to the other side; but he did so with complete success, though at the loss of many of his people.
He had horses or donkeys and he himself rode a small, marbled and very fast animal. A sudden change of nature caused them to move away from his first house; The region became very cold. I saw that the region is now more benign. On the way he found tribes in the greatest abandonment; people who fled the tyranny of their leaders; others waiting for a guide. These scattered races happily joined his people and his command, for their character was kind and they distributed wheat and blessings wherever they went. I saw tribes that had to flee because their lands were plundered and stolen, as happened to patient Job. Some did not know fire and baked bread in the sun or on stones heated by the sun. When Dsemschid presented them to the fire, he appeared before them as a god. On the way he encountered a tribe that sacrificed children who were defective or who looked insufficiently pretty; They covered them up to half their bodies and lit fire around them. Dsemschid put an end to this barbaric custom; He freed these creatures and charged certain matrons with the care and education of these children. When they grew up, he reclassified them among the tribes, as workers and servants. He always took the utmost care to preserve the purity of his race.
Dsemschid originally lived with his people in the southwest, he then had the Mount of the Prophets on his left, towards the south. Later he headed south, with Monte on his left, to the east.
I think he later went to the other side of the Caucasus.
So, when in those places everything was teeming with people and everything was busy, in our stores (Germany) everything was just forests, swamps and desert lands. In the end, here and there, there were some scattered tribes.
The famous Zoroaster (bright star), who flourished much later, was a descendant of the son of Dsernschid and renewed the teachings of that leader of peoples. Dsemschld wrote all kinds of laws, precepts and teachings on stone tablets and tree bark. His alphabet was such that sometimes a single letter or sign meant an entire sentence. This language was still the first language and I see that it has a relationship or similarity, sometimes, with our language.
Dsemschid lived until the time of Derketo and his daughter, who was the mother of the famous Semíramis. Dsemschid did not arrive there until the time of Babel, but his attacks were directed in that direction.
XIX - Occasion when the seer saw the story of Hom and Dsemschid
I saw this whole story of Hom and Dsemschid on one occasion when Jesus was teaching before the pagan philosophers of Lanisa, the city of Chlpre7. These philosophers spoke of Dsemschid before Jesus as a wise king from the East who had lived in the Indies, who had a dagger, received from God, with which he distributed and demarcated lands and populated regions and spread blessings wherever he went. They asked Jesus if he knew anything about him and the wonders they told about his time on earth.
Jesus answered them that Dsemschld had only been a sensible and wise man, according to the senses and nature, who had been a leader of people who led his tribe and populated certain regions with his people, when they began to disperse itself, as happened after Babel on a larger scale. He told them that he had dictated certain laws, and that other leaders of peoples existed, similar to him, when the races had not become so corrupted, as happened later. Jesus showed them, however, how many fables they told about him and invented; while in reality Dsemschid was nothing more than an imitation and a false image of the true leader of the people who was Melchizedek, priest and king. Jesus told them on this occasion to look to Melchizedek and the people of Abraham, for when the people were scattered, God had sent the best families to Melchizedek to guide them and keep them together, and to prepare a dwelling and lands for them. they live. and to keep themselves pure. In this way, he told them, these people became worthy or unworthy of the grace of the call and the promise, according to their merits. Jesus added: 'Whoever Melchizedek was, you can think and imagine; The truth is that it was a primitive image of the approaching hour of grace of the calling; "The sacrifice of bread and wine which he offered must now be fulfilled and perfected, and this true sacrifice must last until the end of time."
XX - The Tower of Babel
The construction of the tower of Babel was a work of arrogance and pride. The initiators wanted to do work, in accordance with their idea of resisting God's providence and will. When the descendants of Noah multiplied greatly, the wisest and most presumptuous of them gathered together and decided to do a work so great and so extraordinarily strong that it would be the admiration of all times, and so that all who saw it would speak of them, as of the greatest men. bold and powerful in the world. In no way did they think of giving the glory of everything to God: they only thought of glorifying themselves. If there had not been this forgetfulness of God, the Lord would have allowed them to finish their work. This was clear to me. Shem's descendants did not participate in this construction. They lived in level places where palm trees and other gentle trees grew and bore them fruit; However, they also had to contribute to the construction of the tower, since they were not that far from the construction site. Only the descendants of Ham and Japheth took care of this building, and they called the Semites a weak and foolish people because they refused to join them. The Semites were not as numerous as those of Ham and Japheth. Among the Semites, the descendants of Heber and then of Abraham formed a more preserved race.
Upon Heber, who took no part in the construction of Babel, God set His eyes to separate him and his descendants from the common destruction of the world and to make this race a holier people. For this reason God gave these people a sacred language that no other people had, so that they would remain separate from others. This language is the pure Chaldean language. The mother tongue spoken by Adam, Noah and Shem was different, and only something remains of it in each of the different languages. The first pure daughters of this primitive language are the languages of the Bactrians, Zend and the sacred language of the Indus. Words from these languages still exist, like in the Low German of my hometown. The book which I see still extant in the present Ktesiphon is written in this same language; in the Tigers. Héber lived in the time of Semírarnis. His grandfather Arphaxad was the chosen son of the patriarch Shem, full of intelligence and common sense. Unfortunately, many arts and even many magical arts later derived from his teachings and idolatrous worship. Magicians originate from these errors.
The Tower of Babel was built on an extensive height that had a circuit of about two hours of travel. Around it was a vast valley with many fields of trees, gardens and plantations. From the foundations of the tower to the height of the first floor, one could see twenty-five wide material paths that, coming from afar, went up to that height. They corresponded to the twenty-five tribes that built the tower. Each of these tribes had to go from their distant city to the tower, so that in that moment of danger they could take refuge along their street on the heights of the tower. The tower should also serve for the idolatrous worship of its gods.
These walled roads were initially very far from each other, from the city of origin; They approached towards the tower and when they got there the space between one path and another was no wider than a real street or road. Before its completion, these paths were interconnected by transversal arches, and from here there was, between every two paths, a door about three meters wide that led to the base of the tower.
When these paths approached the tower they were reinforced by a series of arches with transverse openings, and even closer to the base of the tower, by a double series of arches, one above the other, and on them it was possible to walk around the tower. . These paths served to reinforce the foundations of the tower itself like the roots of a plant and also to increase the weight of the construction materials that were carried to all sides of the tower. Between these paths, which were like roots of the tower, there were many underground walled rooms. I saw that a large crowd of people lived in tents, in addition to those who lived in the holes, cellars, and rooms that were at the base of the tower. It was a coming and going, an extraordinary and feverish movement, like ants in anthills. Camels, elephants and donkeys went up and down the roads in great numbers, so wide that they could meet without disturbing each other. Along the road there were loading and unloading areas, as well as fodder and animal rest areas. I saw that many of these animals were going up and down the roads without men to guide them. The paths at the base of the tower led to a labyrinth of entrances, rooms, passages, stairs and chambers. From these cellars of the tower it was possible, by means of steps cut into the walls, to climb on all sides to the top of the tower. From the top of the first floor opened an external path that ran in a snail shape around the building. The interior of the building was filled with solid cellars, chambers, and passages in all directions. The construction was done uniformly on all sides, towards the center, where at first there was a large tent. They built it with bricks. I have seen, however, that they also dragged large carved stones in other places.
The outer part of these paths that went up to the tower were white in color and shone in the rays of the sun: from a distance they presented a splendid spectacle. The tower was built with exquisite art, and I was told that it could have been completed, and that it would stand to this day, as a beautiful reminder of the strength of the union of men, if it had been undertaken with the glory of their God and Lord in mind. But they did not think about God; It was a work of pure human pride.
Inside the vaults, they left engraved with stones of different colors, in large letters, the men who contributed most to the construction, and on the columns were praise for their deeds and exploits. These people did not have kings, but rather patriarchs, who governed according to certain agreements they made among themselves. The stones they used were cut so that when placed, they would come together perfectly. Everyone worked at the construction site. I saw that they dug canals and cisterns in search of water and that the women stepped in the mud and mixed it with their feet. Men wore bare arms and chests when they were at work. The noblest wore a type of cap with a button on their heads. The women had their heads covered.
The tower had already risen so high that on one side there was an intense cold due to the shadow it cast, and on the other, a notable heat due to the reflection of the sun on the paths and walls of the building.
They had been working for thirty years and had barely reached the second floor of the enormous tower. At this time they were working inside the building, making the tower-shaped columns and engraving their names with colored stones and the exploits of their respective tribes, when suddenly confusion arose. These stone engravings were not very artistic works; but many things were fixed with stones of different colors and figures and statues were also placed in the niches.
Among the teachers and leaders of the work I saw Melchizedek appear, who asked them to account for the way they acted and announced to them God's punishment if they did not change their behavior. From then on, the confusion of ideas began. Many who until then had worked in peace and harmony began to boast about their work, their knowledge and their contribution to the company, and to claim exemptions and privileges, forming alliances against each other. Protests, enmity and finally open war arose between them. At first it appeared that there were only two discontented and rebellious tribes, and they were determined to restrain them; but it was soon realized that everyone was disunited. They fought among themselves, there were deaths and injuries. They did not understand each other, they separated and dispersed throughout the land. I saw that Shem's descendants went further south, where Abraham lived. I saw, on this occasion, that a good man did not withdraw from Babel at that time, but remained among the evil people of the place because of his wife.
This man was the origin of the Samanes, who were later oppressed by Semíramis, until Melchizedek himself freed them and removed them from the place, taking them to the promised land.
When I saw the Tower of Babel as a child, I couldn't imagine what it could be and I rejected this vision, as I had only seen the little houses in my town, where the door also serves as an escape for the smoke from the kitchen and the town of Koesfeld. . Sometimes I thought, in my childhood simplicity, that this must be paradise. But I can say that I always saw this tower in the same way as I do now; Later I saw what the tower looked like in Job's day.
XXI - Nimrod
One of the main leaders in the construction of the tower was Nimrod, who was later considered a god, under the name Belo. He was the ancestor of Derketo and Semiramis, who received veneration as goddesses. This same Nimrod built the city of Babylon with the stones from the tower of Babel and Semiramis completed this work in his time. Nimrod also laid the foundations of the city of Nineveh by introducing the custom of laying material foundations for rooms and tents. He was a renowned hunter and a tyrant in his government.
At that time there were large and fearsome animals that caused damage and devastation; For this reason, expeditions against these animals were almost like military expeditions against enemies. Those who managed to kill the most harmful and strong animals were considered demigods. Nimrod forced other men to submit to his tyranny. He practiced a cult of idolatry, was full of cruelty, practiced magic and had many descendants. He reached the ripe old age of two hundred and seventy years. He had a yellowish complexion, from a young age he led a wild life, was an instrument of the devil and was very given to astrological observations. From the same figures and representations that he saw in the stars and with which he predicted things about peoples and races, he then made images of idols, which later came to be worshiped as gods. In this way the Egyptians received the Sphinx and the various idols with various arms and heads, which are inventions of Nimrod. For seventy years Nimrod was committed and concerned with these diabolical visions, later forming with them the cult of idols and sacrifices, and establishing the caste of priests for this idolatrous cult. Through his diabolical science and the violence he exerted, he managed to subjugate the other tribes and lead them to the project of building the tower of Babel.
When the confusion of languages was declared, many tribes separated from their domain and the most depraved of them headed, under the command of Mesraim, to the lands of Egypt. Nimrod then built Babylon, subjected the other neighboring tribes to his tyranny, and founded the Babylonian kingdom.
Among his numerous children are Nino and Derketo, who was later considered a goddess.
XXII - Get out
From Derketo to Semiramis I saw three generations pass, one daughter succeeding the other. I saw Derketo as a large and strong woman, dressed in furs, with many leather ornaments hanging from it and a kind of animal tail. She wore a cap made of bird feathers on her head and was accompanied in her wanderings by many other women and men. They came from Babylon. Derketo always had diabolical visions; She prophesied this or that, founded cities, offered sacrifices and made continuous incursions into the nearby and even the most remote regions. Sometimes she took with her a race of people, with their flocks and possessions; She prophesied good staying in one place. They raised large stones as souvenirs, offered sacrifices and participated in orgies with the people they had with them. These stones were sometimes extraordinarily large. Everyone submitted to her. She was everywhere; She was revered as a goddess and in old age she had a daughter who accompanied her every act. I saw all these things on a plain, whence all this disorder originated. Later I saw her, already elderly, with a fierce appearance, in a city near the sea, engaged in magical works and, as if in diabolical ecstasy, telling the people gathered there that she must die for them all and sacrifice herself. She added that she could no longer be with them, but that she wanted to turn into a fish to always be close to them. She emphasized the veneration and worship that should be given to her and, in the presence of all the people, she plunged into the waters of the sea. I saw that a large fish immediately emerged from the waves and that the people greeted it with all kinds of manifestations of veneration, sacrifices and disorders. From all the things that belonged to Derketo arose a series of superstitions and idolatrous worship. I also saw that the prophecies, mysteries and hallucinations that Derketo performed were closely related to water and its meaning.
I saw another daughter of Kerketo emerge from a small mountain. She would soon gain influence and power. This was still true in Nimrod's time; They were of the same race. I saw this daughter of Derketo act in everything like her mother, and even more savagely. He often went on long hunting expeditions with a large following of people and sometimes hundreds of kilometers into distant regions. Meanwhile, she offered sacrifices, performed magic and divined the future. She founded populations in several places and established idolatrous worship everywhere. I saw this one being taken into the water fighting a large hippopotamus.
I saw her daughter, Semiramis, on a high mountain, surrounded by the riches and treasures of the world, as if the devil showed them to her to give them to her, and then I saw how she completed the corruption of her race in the city of Babylon. In early times, these states of diabolic possession were, in many cases, generally silent, without noise; Later they became much more open and violent. These people thus became leaders and guides and were considered gods. They introduced all kinds of cult practices in accordance with their false views. Outwardly, they made all kinds of great ventures with art, using violence; As they were full of diabolical science, they invented wonderful things. From this state arose, at first, a caste of lords and priests; later, only priests.
In the early days I saw more women than men with these evil influences acting with one accord in science and action. Many things that are told about these people are deformations of their ecstatic, magnetic and diabolical states, and as they spoke they guessed and taught as truth the hallucinations they suffered at the hands of the devil.
The Jews also practiced many of these occult arts in Egypt.
Moses uprooted them and was the true seer of God. Part of this secret teaching remained among the rabbis, which was the privilege of their sages. This degenerated over time, among ignorant people, into base practices that ended in witchcraft and various superstitions. All of this comes from the one devilish source, the tree of evil and the kingdom of darkness. I see these representations as dark clouds over the earth; often under the same tent. In magnetism there is a great element of this hidden power.
XXIII – Character of diabolical visions
For these first servants of idols, water was a very sacred thing. Water intervened in all their cults and ceremonies; The beginning of his diabolical visions was observation in the water. They had private reservoirs of sacred water. Later, this state of hallucination became permanent and was visible even without water. On one occasion I was able to observe how they had most of their visions. It was an extremely curious thing. I saw above the waters, as the outer world was seen with all things, as they are visible; I ended up realizing that everything was as if veiled by a sphere of malice. So I saw a tree below the tree that was above; a mountain corresponding to the one above; the sea submerged in the sea. Thus these women, under the influence of the devil, saw all things on earth: wars, cities, dangers. But they were not satisfied with seeing these things, as they would be now, but immediately moved according to the visions they saw. They would see a city and think, 'We can dominate these people and subject them to us; It is possible to attack that city; Furthermore, it is advisable to find a fortress or a city.” They saw men or women of superior category and better race and studied visions of how to seduce and convince them.
Thus Derketo saw beforehand that she should be thrown into the water, that she would change into a fish, and that she would be worshiped; and he did as he had seen before. Even her own orgies and disturbances she saw beforehand; so she performed them as they were shown to her. Derketo's daughter lived at a time when large dams and long roads were built. He traveled far away to Egypt, and his whole life was one of constant hunting and raiding. A group of his people were the ones who robbed and attacked the patient Job in Arabia.
The diabolical arts of magic and visions increased greatly in Egypt. Those who practiced them were so involved in it that witches were seen on curious seats, before all kinds of mirrors, in temple chambers, and hundreds of men carved these images into the stones of the underground walls and visions that idolatrous priests interpreted for them. . Sometimes I was surprised to see these evil ways and works of darkness carried out with a certain uniformity in different places, by very different people, although all influenced by the same motive. They differ only in the various customs and evil tendencies of the people. Some people were not so afraid of corruption, but were closer to the truth. Such were the families of Abraham, the tribes from which the Magi descended, as well as those who watched the stars in Chaldea and the followers of Zoroaster in Persia.
When Jesus came to earth, and it was bathed in his precious blood, the devilish force greatly diminished and its manifestations became weaker. Moses was a seer from childhood; but he was after God, and was guided by the things that he saw, because they were from God.
Derketo, his daughter and his granddaughter Semíramis reached a very advanced age for that time. They were strong built, big, strong and of a stature that would almost scare us today. They were extraordinarily bold, reckless, extremely daring, and always proceeded with great confidence, because through the work of the evil spirit they predicted events in advance. They felt safe; They acted as if they were superior beings and their peers considered them as such. They were a perfect likeness of those most diabolical beings who disappeared from their high mountain in the universal flood. It is very moving to see how the ancient righteous people and patriarchs remained in the truth, in the midst of all this confusion of customs; God helped them with true revelations, although they had to suffer and fight a lot. Thus, through difficult and hidden paths, salvation came to men, over the centuries, despite the fact that for those servants of the devil everything happened according to their desires and depraved inclinations.
I was very saddened to see the enormous extent of the worship of these false gods and goddesses, and the great veneration they had gained in the world, and I saw, on the other hand, the small portion of the devotees of Mary, then figured in that cloud of the prophet Elijah. I had these visions when Jesus was arguing with the arrogant philosophers of Cyprus, who were trying to extol their false doctrines. Contrasting with their pride was the humility of Jesus, the fulfillment of all the hopes of the world, who stood before them patiently teaching them, already close to death on the cross for men. This was nothing more than the story of truth and the light that wants to penetrate the darkness. The saddest thing is that the darkness does not want to receive this light, which is still the case today.
But God's mercy is infinite. I have seen that in the universal flood many men went through moments of fear and terror, seeing themselves lost, and that they spent in Purgatory. Many of them were removed by Jesus on his descent to the low areas. I also saw that many trees were uprooted during the flood and died; but there were also those that had their roots stuck in the ground, and that flourished again.
XXIV - History of Semírarnis
Semiramis' mother was born in the region of Nineveh. Outwardly she seemed like a shy and modest girl, but secretly she was dissolute and unrestrained. Her father was a man from Syria, involved in the greatest rise of idol worship; He was killed after the birth of Semiramis. All of this was related to the diabolical visions and divinations that were taking place at that time. Semiramis was born far from Chaldea, in Acalon, Palestine, and was raised by priests in solitude, under the care of local shepherds. Semiramis used to live, as a child, in the lonely mountains. Sometimes she would see the idol priests with her or her mother, who would stop by on their adventures or wild animal hunts.
I have seen the devil, in the form of a child, playing with her, in the same way that I later saw the boy John, in the desert, playing with the angels and helped by them. I also saw that birds, with several wings, flew around the girl and brought her curious toys. I no longer remember nor can I express how many things were done with this: it was the most disgusting idolatry and corruption. She had a beautiful presence, full of diabolical science and everything went according to her wishes. Semiramis was given for the first time, always for hidden business reasons, as a wife to a character who was the guardian of the king of Babylon's cattle; She later became the wife of the king himself. This king subjugated a people far from the North and some of them took them as slaves to his region. These people were cruelly treated by Queen Semiramis, when she was left alone in the kingdom, and forced to work on major construction projects. Semiramis was considered a goddess by her people.
I saw Semiramis' mother leading great hunts against fearsome beasts and leading a small army of men riding camels, striped donkeys, and horses. I once saw her taking her adventures to Arabia, towards the Red Sea, where Job lived. These hunters were extremely agile and rode like men. They were dressed to the knees and had straps tied around their legs. They wore sandals that had a crest with figures engraved in different colors. The cotton bags they used were decorated with fine feathers and variopaints of different shapes. Their chests and arms were crossed with hats adorned with feathers, and on their shoulders they wore a kind of necklace of feathers intertwined with precious stones or pearls. They covered their heads with a red silk or cotton cap and in front of their faces they wore a veil divided into two halves with which they protected themselves from wind or dust. Behind her, a small cape fluttered in the wind. The weapons were spears, bows and axes; On their sides they carried the shield. By this time, the beasts had multiplied greatly. The hunters surrounded them in large areas and forced them to gather in a suitable place, where it would be easier to exterminate them. They dug pits and made traps to hunt them, and there they killed them with spears and sticks. I saw Semiramis' mother hunting the animal that Job describes as Behemoth. They hunted tigers, lions and other similar animals. In these first days I didn't see monkeys. They also hunted in the waters, where they practiced various superstitions and diabolical arts through it. Semiramis' mother was not, at least outwardly, as depraved as her daughter. Still, she had a demonic appearance and was of terrible strength and boldness. It was truly scary to see her fighting a fearsome Nile hippopotamus, until she threw herself into the water in pursuit. She was riding a dromedary and, while chasing her prey, fell into the water. Later, she was venerated as the goddess of hunting and considered the benefactor of the people8.
XXV - Foundation of cities in Egypt
Returning from an excursion to Africa, Semiramis passed through Egypt, a kingdom founded by Mesraim, grandson of Ham, who on the way to those lands had already encountered some scattered and divided tribes. Egypt was founded and established as a kingdom with several tribes of people and therefore had one, now another, among them as its leader. When Semiramis arrived in Egypt there were four cities. The oldest was Thebes, where a more slender, agile and active race lived than in the city of Memphis, whose inhabitants were of an inferior race. It was located on the left bank of the Nile, accessible by a wide bridge. On the right side was the castle, where Pharaoh's daughter lived in the time of Moses. The dark, woolly-haired inhabitants were slaves from the earliest times and never reigned over the country. The first who came and built Thebes came, it seems to me, from other parts of Africa; Others passed through the Red Sea, passing through the place where the Israelites later passed. The third city was called Chume, at first; then Heliópolis. It was located very far from Thebes. When Mary, Joseph and the baby Jesus fled to Egypt, there were still large buildings around this city. Further below Mentis is the city of Sais; I think it was older than Memphis. Each of these four cities had its own king.
Semiramis was greatly honored in Egypt and increased, with diabolical projects and arts, the idolatry that was practiced there. I saw this in Memphis, where they offered human sacrifices, made plans and were busy observing the stars and performing magical works. This time I did not see the good Apis; but an idol with a head like the sun and ending in a tail. There she presented the plan for the first pyramid, which was built on the eastern bank of the Nile, not far from Memphis. The whole city was forced to work on this work.
When this pyramid was completed, I saw Semiramis return with a hundred of his warriors. An inauguration party was held and Semiramis was worshiped almost as a goddess. This pyramid was built in a place where there was water and swamps. ,That is why a solid building, with large pillars, that looked like an immense bridge, on which the pyramid was then erected, became essential. Under the pyramid you could walk, around it, as in a great temple with columns. Down below they made many diverse chambers, spaces, prisons and rooms; In the inner cave of the pyramid there were many small chambers and outside you saw many windows and openings from which hung cloths and screens floating in the air. There were large gardens and bathing areas. Inside this pyramid the most abject idolatry was practiced; In other words, instead of observing the stars, magic and the worst mistakes. They sacrificed children and the elderly. Astrologers, sorcerers and magicians of all categories had their seat, their home and their diabolical visions and illusions there.
In place of the baths there was an installation to purify the waters of the Nile.
Later I saw Egyptian women in great orgies, in these baths, related to the greatest atrocities of the cult of the gods. This pyramid did not survive long: it was destroyed. The people were very superstitious and the priests of the idols were immersed in so much ignorance, darkness and so many divinatory statements, that in Heliópolis they even asked the people's dreams and gathered, wrote and preserved them, relating them to the observations of the stars. . There were more and more people magnetized by diabolical visions, which mixed some truth with falsehoods. In this way, the worship of idols and even the chronology of the Egyptians was ordered. I saw, for example, that the gods Isis and Osiris were none other than Joseph (viceroy of Egypt) and Ashenth (his wife), whom the astrologers of Egypt predicted after diabolical visions, and who placed them among their gods. When they arrived, they were worshiped as gods. I saw that Asente lamented and wept over this, and even he wrote against the worship that was given to him.
XXVI - The chronologies of ancient Egypt
Modern scholars who write about Egypt are in great error, because they consider many things in Egyptian history, experience, and science to be based only on false astrological visions and dreams. This is clear, since the Egyptians continued to be as ignorant and bestial a people as they really were. The wise consider these diabolical influences to be impossible things; they discard them, and as they cannot explain certain mysteries of Egypt without admitting demonic influences, they are forced to ascribe great antiquity to the Egyptians, since they possessed certain mysterious and inexplicable knowledge and calculations.
I myself saw that, already in the time of Semiramis, in Memphis, these priests from then on had great pretensions regarding antiquity, and made all kinds of confusion in the calculations of their kings. They always tried to appear as the oldest people and made wrong calculations and king dynasties. Thus, they placed themselves completely outside of all chronology. As they repeatedly changed and corrected their selfish calculations, in the end they no longer knew what the true chronology of their country was. As, in addition, they perpetuated their wrong dates in large buildings and long inscriptions, the confusion became total and irremediable. I saw that they counted the time of ancestors and descendants, in such a way as if the day of the father's death was the day of the child's birth. The kings always discussed these calculations with the priests and included people who did not even exist among their ancestors. I saw that the four kings or pharaohs who reigned at the same time in Thebes, Heliopolis, Memphis and Sais were calculated as if they had reigned one after the other. I also saw how, occasionally, they counted a year by 970 days, months by years, and vice versa. He was shown to me as a priest, who did the math, always getting 1100 years right when in reality it was only 500.
All these false reports were shown to me on the occasion when Jesus, in Aruma, was giving the Sabbath instruction and speaking to the Pharisees about Abraham's vocation and his stay in Egypt: he made them see the falsity of the exaggerated calculations of the Egyptian priests. Jesus told the Pharisees that the world was then 4,028 years old. When I heard Jesus say this, he himself was thirty-one years old.
On this same occasion I saw that many people were making pilgrimages to the supposed tomb of Set, whom they considered a god and whose tomb they believed to be in Arabia. These trips were very dangerous and long. It seems to me that some of these people still live today, who are now passing through Turkish territory, and are allowed to pass precisely because they are heading towards that sacred tomb.
XXVII - Melchizedek
I have seen Melchizedek many times; but never as a man, but as a being of another nature, as a messenger and envoy of God. I never saw a particular part of his dwelling; some country that was your homeland; no relationship of Melchizedek with relatives, ancestors or descendants9. I never saw him eating, drinking, resting or sleeping; I didn't even have any doubts that he could be a man, like the others. He had clothes such that no one wore them on earth, neither priests nor other people. On the other hand, I saw that he resembled the angels that I saw in the heavenly Jerusalem, and with the style that later, at God's command, Moses ordered priestly vestments to be made.
I saw Melchizedek, in several places, appearing to advise, intercede, order many things aimed at the good of the peoples and tribes, as well as on occasions of triumph in some battles. Wherever he appeared, his authority was unquestionable: everyone respected him even for the personal prestige that surrounded his appearance. I never saw anyone resist him, although he did not use violent means; and all men, even the idolaters and the heathen, received his decisions and carried out his commands. I saw that he had no equal, no companion: he always appeared alone. Sometimes he had two messengers running ahead, announcing his arrival. They were dressed in short, white clothes. They announced their arrival in some places; so he licensed them. Everything he needed he always had with him. If he received something from men, they suffered no need: they gave it willingly, freely and with joy. Those who enjoyed his presence and were reverently afraid of him were considered happy. The wicked, when speaking of him, mocked his absence; but before him they humbled themselves and withheld him. In my opinion, Melchizedek, among pagans, idolaters and sensualists, experienced what happens today with a man of recognized sanctity of life: who appears in the middle of the crowd and spreads graces, blessings and words of consolation along his path.
I also saw him among the courtiers of Queen Semiramis in Babylon. The queen had extraordinary splendor; She caused multitudes of slaves to build the most magnificent buildings and treated these people with greater cruelty than the pharaohs treated Jacob's sons in Egypt.
There the most abominable idolatry was practiced. Human sacrifices were offered, burying human beings up to their necks. All luxury, splendor, wealth, and art were there in full swing, so that it seemed to exceed all measure and moderation. Semiramis undertook great military undertakings, with numerous soldiers, almost always against the peoples of the East. I saw little of this in the West. In the North there were then only backward cities, immersed in darkness and baseness. There existed then, in the confines of Semiramis, a very numerous people, of Semitic race, who after the tower of Babel settled there and multiplied greatly. They lived like shepherds, under tents; They had a lot of cattle and worshiped at night in an open tent under the cover of the starry sky.
They had God's blessing. Everything prospered among them and their animals were always the best and most precious. The satanic Semiramis intended to destroy this blessed race and had already partially begun her work. The wicked woman knew, because of the blessing that was in that race, that God had some special plan with those people; and therefore, being the work of the devil, she wanted to destroy it. When the persecution became intolerable, I saw Melchizedek appear. He appeared before Semiramis and demanded that she let the people out of there. He blamed her for his cruelty. She could not resist the demand of Melchizedek, who took these chosen people and, in several groups, transferred them to the promised land. During his stay in Babylon, I saw that Melchizedek lived in a tent, and from there he distributed bread to the people in need, so that they could travel. Arriving at the tent of Canaan, he showed them places to build, and they acquired land as property. Melchizedek himself distributed it in places where it would not mix with impure and idolatrous races. The name of this breed sounds like Samanes or Semanes. He pointed out places to some of them which were later the place of the Dead Sea. The city they built perished in the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah.
Semiramis received Melchizedek with a mixture of reverence, secret fear and admiration for his wisdom. Melchizedek appeared before her as King of the Morning Star, that is, king of the Far East. She imagined that perhaps she could win him as her husband and increase her power.
Melchizedek spoke to her very sternly and exposed her cruelty and tyranny, and predicted the near ruin of the pyramid she had built near Memphis. Semiramis seemed very frightened and stood before Melchizedek very timidly. I saw that a punishment came: she became like an animal and was trapped for a long time. He received straw and hay with contempt, like an animal in a manger. Only a child supported her, giving her food and drink. When she came to her senses, she returned to her former cruelties. I saw that it ended miserably; The entrails were ripped out of her body. He lived one hundred and seventeen years.
XXVIII - Melchizedek and the Samanes
Melchizedek was considered a superior being: a prophet, a wise man, a hierarchical man for whom all things went well.
There were in those times and even later several of these beings of superior hierarchy. They were no strangers to those people, any more than the angels who kept Abraham acquainted with. But I saw that there were also appearances of evil beings who tried to disturb the works of good people; just as among the good prophets, there were bad ones and deceivers.
The departure of the Samanes from the land of Babylon was similar to the later departure of the Israelites from Egypt. These Samanes were not as numerous as the Israelites. Of the Samanes taken to the promised kingdom, I saw three men near Mount Tabor, in the place called the Mountain of Bread, living in caves, long before Abraham. They were dressed in furs; They had darker faces than Abraham's and held a very large leaf on their heads to protect themselves from the sun's rays. They led a holy and solitary life, after the manner of Enoch; they had a set of simple but secret beliefs and received very simple revelations and visions. There was in their religion the conviction that one day God would unite with men and as if they should prepare the way for its realization. They offered sacrifices of all their food, separated the third part, exposed it to the sun and left it there. This is what it seemed to me. It could also be that they put it there for the poor, as I sometimes saw them go there and take food. I saw them live in a very simple way visibly, separated from the other men who were not yet numerous and lived in tents, forming groups of cities. I saw these men make pilgrimages to various parts of the country, sometimes digging wells, clearing mountains and laying stones as foundations for future populations. I saw them drive evil spirits from certain places out of the air, banish them to marshy, barren places filled with mist. On this occasion I checked, once again. that evil spirits often live in swampy and dark places. I have often seen these men in open struggle with evil spirits. I was at first amazed when I saw that the places where they placed stones to raise populations, were covered with herbs and wild plants; and yet I saw that the cities of Safet, Bethsaida, Nazareth, etc., were built precisely where they laid those stones as a foundation. This is how they worked on the place where the little house where Mary received the announcement from the angel was later built. In the same way I saw them working in Fatefer, Sepphoris, in the place of Hannah's little house, near Nazareth; in Megiddo, Nain, Ainnon and Hebron and in the cave near Bethlehem. They also founded Michmetat and other places whose names I no longer remember.
On Mount Tabor I saw them meeting monthly with Melchizedek, who each time brought them a square loaf of bread one square meter thick, already divided into many small parts. This bread was brown and baked in ashes. I saw Melchizedek come to them always alone.
The bread he carried in his hands seemed to float weightlessly in them; but when he approached, he placed it on his shoulder, as if it were weighing him down. I think that's how he appeared as a man. They behaved with admiration and prostrated themselves with their faces on the ground in his presence. Melchizedek taught them to cultivate the vineyard in the vicinity of Tabor, and throughout many parts of the country they planted all kinds of good seeds which he gave them. The plants still grow there in a jungle state. I saw them cut a piece of bread every day with the dark instrument or spade with which they work the land. They observed the feast days, knew the stars, and celebrated the eighth day with sacrifice and prayer, as well as on certain days of the year. I saw them open paths to where future foundation stones were laid and where they planted or dug wells. The places from which they still perceived the evil spirits and they purified, cleaned and emptied them.
prohibition completely naturally. They opened roads to Cana, Megiddo, Nain and prepared most of the places where the prophets were born. They laid the foundations of Abelmehola and Dotaim and made the beautiful well and the baths of Bethulia. They saw Melchizedek walking from one part of the country to another, and no one knew where he resided. The men looked very old, but still active and full of life. In the place where they were later in the Dead Sea and in Judea there were already cities. There were also some in the north of the country. On the other hand, in the center there was no population.
Those three men dug their own graves, one near Hebron, the second near Tabor and the third not far from Safet. These men were to Abraham what John was later to the coming of Jesus.
They prepared and purified the country; they made roads, sowed seeds and plants, and channeled water channels for what was supposed to be the father of the multitudes of God's people. John, on the other hand, prepared hearts for penance and rebirth through Jesus Christ.
They did for Israel what John did for the Church. I saw in several places men like these, who were placed there by the same Melchizedek.
I saw Melchizedek many times, long before Semiramis and Abraham, claiming the Holy Land, then wild and uncultivated, ordering, organizing and pointing out places. I always saw him alone and thought to myself: 'What does this man want here now, since there is no one in this country?
I saw him dig a well in a mountain, where the Jordan River gushed out. He had in his hands a long, thin drill, which entered like lightning into the bowels of the earth. I saw open water sources in several places. In the beginning of the world there were no rivers, as now, which flow and flow thickly through the earth; I saw, however, that many of the waters came down from a high mountain in the East.
Melchizedek has taken possession of many places in the Holy Land since then. He measured the space where the fountain of Bethesda would be. He placed a stone where the temple would be built, before Jerusalem existed. I saw it planted like seeds, and those twelve plants grew like stones, on the banks of the Jordan, where the priests stood with the Ark of the Covenant before passing to the other side of the river. In this way I always saw Melchizedek, alone, except when he intervened among men to reconcile, group, separate and guide families and village leaders from one part of the world to another. I saw that Melchizedek built a castle near Salem. It was like a series of tents, with a gallery around them and stairs, similar to those in the castle I saw in the country of King Mensor, in Arabia. Only the foundations were made of firm stones. It seemed to me that they still existed in the days of John the Baptist in the four angles where the main pilots were located.
There was only a solid base of stones that looked like a parapet, where João placed his little house made of straw and reeds. That castle or tent was a place where walkers and travelers stopped as in a public shelter, near pleasant and abundant waters. Perhaps Melchizedek had built the castle there to shelter and teach the people who passed by, as I saw Melchizedek always busy advising and guiding races and peoples.
Since then, the place has been linked to the future baptism. That was Melchizedek's starting point; from there he left for the works.
construction of Jerusalem, towards Abraham or any other point in the country. There they united and reestablished families and tribes, which were later established in several places. This happened long before the sacrifice of bread and wine, which appears to have taken place in a valley in the southern part of Jerusalem. Salem was built before Jerusalem itself began.
Wherever he worked or built, he seemed to lay the foundations of a future grace, as if he indicated the place of an event or initiated something that had to be accomplished in the course of time. Melchizedek belongs to that choir of angels that stands over countries, regions and cities. The angels who carried messages to Abraham and the patriarchs belonged to the same choir. These angels are likened to the archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael.
XXIX - Patient Job
Job's father, a great leader of the people, was the father of Faleg, son of Heber. Shortly before his time, the dispersion of the tower of Babel occurred. He had thirteen children, the youngest of whom was Job and lived north of the Black Sea, on a mountain where it was hot on one side and cold and snowy on the other. Job was an ancestor of Abraham, whose mother was Job's great-granddaughter, married into the family of Eber. Job may have lived at the time of Abraham's birth. He lived in different places and suffered his misfortunes in three parts. Since the first calamity he would have had nine years of tranquility; in the second, seven years, and in the third, 12 years. Misfortunes happened to him in various places throughout his life.
In none of his calamities was he reduced to utter misery, so that he had nothing left; he was reduced to poverty in comparison with his former abundance. He was always able to pay his bills, however, with what he had left.
Job could not remain in his parents' house; He had other inclinations.
He worshiped the one true God, especially in nature, the stars, and the changing light. He always spoke of the admirable works of God and had a cult of Divinity, pure and simple. Upon separating from his father he went with his people to the North Caucasus. There he found a very miserable and muddy region. I think it was where people with flat noses, high cheekbones and small eyes lived. There he began to work and everything prospered for him. He brought together all kinds of poor and defenseless people, who lived in caves and thickets and had nothing to eat but birds and game animals, still raw; Job taught them how to prepare them correctly for eating. He taught them how to cultivate the land. Job and his people wore few clothes and lived in tents. Job already had many cattle, spotted donkeys and other animals.
Three sons were born there at once and, on another occasion, three daughters. He did not yet have a stable city, but he moved from one part of his possessions to another that spanned a seven-hour stretch of road. They did not grow in this marshy land any kind of wheat, but a thick reed that still grew in the water, which contained a marrow which they ate like porridge or roasted over the fire. At first, the meat was roasted in the sun in cavities in the earth, until Job taught them how to cook. They used to grow many types of pumpkins for food.
Job was indescribably good, meek and charitable and helped the people.
He was very pure in his ways. He had a familiar relationship with God, who appeared to him quite often in the form of an angel or a holy man, as people used to say. He saw these angelic apparitions in the form of resplendent young men, beardless, with long white robes, lined with many folds, which fell to their feet so that they covered the entire person. They were girded and he saw them eating and drinking.
Job was comforted by God, through these apparitions, in his calamities, and these same people judged his friends, the children of his brothers and relatives. Job did not worship any idol, nor did the people around him. Only one image of the Almighty was made, according to his idea. It was the figure of a child, with glitter around the head, hands one on top of the other; in one of them there was a balloon where water and a ship could be seen. I think it was a representation of the flood, which Job often spoke about with two of his most faithful friends, pondering the wisdom and goodness of God. The figure was resplendent like metal. He used to take it with him everywhere. Job offered grain, burning it as a sacrifice, before the image. I saw smoke rising as if through a tube towards the sky. In this place Job received his first calamity. He always had fights and difficulties with his neighbors, who were bad people. He then moved to the Caucasus Mountains, where he began his work, which again prospered. In this place he began, both he and his people, to wear more clothes: they lived family life more perfectly.
From this second place Job left, with great company, towards Egypt, where foreign shepherd kings dominated a part of the country. Later, these shepherd kings were expelled from the country by another king or pharaoh of Egypt. Job had the mission to accompany a wife to one of these kings to Egypt, since he was related to that king. he had many presents with him and I saw about thirty loaded camels and many company servants. When I saw him in Egypt, Job was a man of great stature, vigorous, with a pleasant dark yellow face and blond hair.
Abraham, on the other hand, was lighter in color. Men in Egypt were dark brown in color. Job was not happy in Egypt, and I saw that he longed to return to the East, to his homeland, located in the South, further away than the land of the Three Wise Men. I heard him say in front of his servants that he would rather live among wild animals than live in Egypt with those men.
He was extremely afflicted by the terrible idolatry that reigned in the country. They offered sacrifices of living creatures to a terrible idol with an ox's head and open jaws, placing the child in its two reddish arms.
The shepherd king, whose son Job brought a wife to Egypt, wanted to keep him there and suggested Matarea as his abode. This place was very different in its appearance than it was at the time the Holy Family settled there. However, I saw that Job lived in the same place where Mary, Joseph and the Child lived, and that Mary's well had already been shown by God in that place. When Maria discovered it later, this well was only covered from above, but the interior was well walled, filled and preserved. Job used the stone from the well for the ceremony of his worship of God. Job freed his room from many wild beasts and poisonous animals, with prayers and sacrifices. He saw visions of man's future redemption and warning of the trials that awaited him. He spoke warmly against the abominations of the idolatrous worship of the Egyptians and their sacrifices, and I believe they were abolished in his day.
When he returned to Egypt for the second time, the second calamity befell him.
When, after twelve years, the third misfortune befell him, Job lived south of Jericho, towards the east. I believe that this region was given to him after the second misfortune, because everywhere he was greatly loved and honored for his great justice, fear of God and wisdom. Job started all over again working and prospering in a flat region. Nearby, on a fruitful mountain they kept all kinds of valuable animals, such as camels, in the wild, which were hunted as we usually do with wild animals in the woods. At this point he established himself, became rich and powerful and built a population; This city had its foundations made of stones and the rest were tents. There, when he was at the height of his glory and greatness, the third trial came upon him which left him reduced to misery and prostrate in extreme illness. When he passed this test, he was cured of his illness, he again had many sons and daughters and I believe he died very old at a time when other strange people were introduced into his lands.
Although the events in the book of Job are narrated differently, there are many speeches there that are truly his and I think I could distinguish one from the other. In the story of the servants, who announce, one after another, running and followed, it should be noted that the words 'while he still spoke" means: when the people were still talking and remembering Job's previous misfortunes, the second and third already were to come. That Satan appeared before God, with the children of God, to accuse God, is one way of saying. There was then much commerce between evil spirits and evil men and they appeared in the form of angels. spirits of evil neighbors, who murmured against Job, saying that he served God because he was prosperous; that anyone, being happy, could serve and love God. So God wanted to show that pain and suffering are often just a test. for man.
The friends of whom the sacred books speak mean the sayings and opinions of those who were favorable to him and the way of judging the facts of their evidence.
Job eagerly waited for the Redeemer and is part of David's trunk, as he was related to Abraham, through the mother of this patriarch, who were his descendants, as well as Hannah's ancestors in relation to the Most Holy Mary.
The story of Job and his conversations with God was written by two of his faithful servants, who were like his stewards, to whom he himself narrated his vicissitudes and the story of his calamities. These two servants were called Hay and Uis or Ois. They wrote on the bark of a tree. This story was preserved as something sacred among his descendants and passed from generation to generation until Abraham. At Rebekah's school, this story was told to the Canaanites, to teach them resignation in the trials that God orders in this life. This is how this story appeared, through Jacob and Joseph, to the children of Israel in Egypt, and Moses gave it another wording so that it would be a consolation to the Israelites, during their slavery in Egypt and on their pilgrimage through the desert. Before the story had a greater extension; There were many things in it that the Israelites would not have understood, nor would it have done any good. Later, Solomon gave it a new wording: he left out a lot of things and put a lot of himself into this story. In this way, primitive writing became a book of edification, full of the wisdom of Job, Moses and Solomon, but the true story of Job can hardly be extracted from today's writing. Also in the names of people and places there were changes: Job was made an inhabitant of Idumea to bring him closer to the inhabitants of the land of Canaan.
XXX - Patriarch Abraham
Abraham and his descendants belonged to a race of men of great stature. They led a pastoral life and were not actually from Ur in Chaldea, but they emigrated to that place. In those times people had a particular way of appropriating land, a mixture of justice and power. Arriving in an unoccupied region where there was good pasture, they closed the boundaries of their property, erected stones in the form of altars and in this way, the designated land became their property. In his youth, something similar happened to Abraham as it happened to the boy Moses: his nurse saved his life. It was predicted to the chief of the tribe that he would have a descendant who would be a wonderful child, who, in the course of time, would be dangerous to him. The boss took precautionary measures. Abraham's mother was kept hidden, and the child was born in the same place where Eve had seen that she had to hide Seth from the wrath of her persecutors.
Abraham was raised there secretly by his nurse Maraha. This woman lived as a poor servant in the desert, and had her dwelling not far from the cave which later, after her, was called the Milk Grotto, and where, at her request, she was buried by Abraham. Abraham was tall. His relatives accepted him with the others, because it seemed to them that he must have been born before the prophecy received. He was, however, in danger because of his extraordinary prudence, which distinguished him from others. The nurse saved him again and hid him in the cave for a long time. I saw it on this occasion, many children his age were killed. Abraham was always very grateful to this nurse and took her with him on his travels on a camel. Abraham lived with her on Sukkot. She died at the age of one hundred, and Abraham prepared her tomb in a block of white stone that, like a small hill, narrowed the same cave. This cave became a place of pilgrimage and devotion, especially for mothers.
In this whole story there is a mystery and a foreshadowing of the persecution that Mary would suffer with the baby Jesus, since the Virgin hid the Baby Jesus precisely in this cave, when Herod's soldiers approached, looking for the Child to kill him. Abraham's father knew many secret arts and had many gifts. People of his lineage had the gift of knowing and discovering where there was gold in the earth, and he made some golden idols similar to the ones Rachel stole from Laban. Ur is the region north of Chaldea. I saw in this region, in many places on the plain and in the mountains, a white fire emerging, as if burning the earth. I don't know if this fire was natural or man-made.
Abraham was a great connoisseur of the stars: he saw the properties of things and the influence of the stars on births. He saw many things by the stars; but he attributed everything to God, followed God in everything, and served Him alone. He also taught this science to others in Chaldea; he attributed all science to God. I saw that he received from God in a vision the order to leave his country. God showed him another country; and Abraham, without saying anything to anyone, organized all his people the next morning and left. Then I saw that he had his tent pitched in a region of the promised land, which seemed to be where Nazareth was later situated. Abraham built an extensive stone altar there, with a roof. As he was kneeling before the altar, a radiance came over him and an angel, a messenger from God, appeared to him.
He gave a very resplendent gift. The angel spoke to Abraham and he received the sacrament or mystery of blessing, the holy mystery of heaven.
She opened her robe and held it to her chest. I was told it was the Sacrament of the Old Testament. Abraham did not yet know its contents; it was unknown to him, just as the Sacrament of the Eucharist is hidden from us. It was given to him, however, as a mystery and pledge of a promised and sanctified descendant. The angel that appeared to him was similar to the one that appeared to the Virgin Mary announcing the immaculate conception of the Messiah. This angel was meek, quiet in manner and not so quick or fast-paced.
I saw him as I see other angels when they give their communications.
I think Abraham always carried this sacred mystery with him. The angel spoke to Abraham about Melchizedek, who would celebrate before him a sacrifice, which should be completed after the coming of the Messiah and last eternally. Abraham then took five large bones from a box and placed them on his altar in the shape of a cross. He turned on the front light and offered a sacrifice. The fire shone like a star; in the middle it was white and around it, red.
Later I saw Abraham in Egypt with Sarah. He emigrated out of need for sustenance; but also to rescue a treasure that, through a relative of Sara, was taken there. This was revealed to him and ordained by God. The treasure was a record of the descendants of Noah's sons, especially Seth until then. The record was made of gold pieces, shaped like threaded triangles. A daughter of Sara's mother's sister stole him and took him to Egypt. The treasure went to Egypt with the pastoral people of the lateral race, somewhat fallen from civilization, of the patriarch Job. There she served as a servant. He stole the treasure just as Rachel stole Laban's idols. This family tree was made as a scale together with threads or ropes, formed by triangular pieces connected to other side lines. On these pieces of gold were engraved, with figures and letters, the names of the patriarchs, from Noah, especially Shem, until that date. When these strings were released, the entire artifice fit on a saucer. They told me how many pesetas this treasure was worth; but I forgot. This family tree ended up in the hands of priests from Egypt and Pharaoh, who through it tried to count and fix their genealogies; but they did everything falsely. When Pharaoh was later afflicted with severe plagues and misfortunes, he was advised by his priests to return to Abraham everything he had asked for.
When Abraham returned to the promised land, I saw Lot with him in the tent and Abraham pointing with his hand across the entire length. Abraham had a lot of similarities in his behavior with the Three Wise Men: long, white woolen clothes with sleeves; in front of him hung a belt, also white, with tassels, and behind him, a hood. On his head he wore a cap and on his chest he had a metal or precious stone shield in the shape of a heart. He had a long beard. It is impossible for me to express how kind and generous he was. When he had something that others liked to possess, especially animals, he would give it to them immediately. He was an adversary of enmity, envy and greed.
Lot was dressed like Abraham; but he was not of so elegant a stature nor of so noble bearing. He was good, if a little greedy. I saw how his servants argued and fought, and how he turned away from Abraham; I saw darkness and fog around him. In Abraham I saw brightness. I saw that he left there on a pilgrimage and built an altar of stones under a pavilion.
The men were quite diligent in making figures out of the stones and both the master and the servant worked at it. This altar was in Hebron, which was later the home of Zechariah, father of the Baptist. The region chosen by Lot is very good, as are all the fields around the Jordan. I saw that as soon as the cities where Lot lived were sacked, he himself was taken away with everything he owned. I saw that a fugitive managed to narrate the event to Abraham. He prayed and went out with all his servants in pursuit of the robbers, surprised them and freed his brother Lot. He thanked and expressed regret for leaving Abraham.
The enemy chiefs and warriors, especially the giants who attacked and subjugated with arrogance, and who were defeated this time, did not dress like Abraham and his people. They wore narrower and shorter garments. Their clothes had more folds, with lots of buttons and star and jewel decorations.
XXXI - Melchizedek's sacrifice of bread and wine
I saw Melchizedek several times with Abraham. He arrived just as other angels used to visit Abraham. Once he ordered a triple sacrifice of doves and other birds and foretold what was about to happen to Sodom and Lot. He announced that he would return to offer a sacrifice of bread and wine. He also told him what he should ask God for. Abraham was full of respect before Melchizedek and eager to see the sacrifice that was announced to him. He built a very beautiful altar and surrounded it with a roof of leaves.
When Melchizedek returned to celebrate the sacrifice of bread and wine, Abraham was announced by a messenger as king of Salem. Abraham went out to meet him, knelt before him and received his blessing. This happened in the southern valley of a plain that extends to Gaza. Melchizedek came from the side that later became Jerusalem. He came in a very fast animal, with a short and wide neck, very loaded. On one side he had a container of wine, somewhat flat on the part that touched the beast; on the other, a container with oval and flat breads, stacked one on top of the other, and the chalice that I later saw in the institution of the Sacrament on the altar, together with small barrel-shaped cups. These small vessels were not gold or silver, but made of a transparent material like precious stones, dark in color. They seemed more born and grown to me than handmade.
Melchizedek now seemed to me like the Lord during his public life. He was slender and tall in stature, with a stern and gentle face. He was wearing a long robe, so white and candid that he reminded me of the resplendent garment in which Jesus appeared on Tabor. Abraham's white robe seemed gray compared to Melchizedek's. He wore a belt with letters, which I later saw on the Jewish priests, and, like them, also, a kind of miter on his head when he offered the sacrifice. His hair was yellow or shining, lucid as silk; His face, luminous.
The king of Sodom was present when Melchizedek approached Abraham's tent. There were many people around with horses, bags, boxes and various loads. Everyone remained silent, in a respectful and solemn attitude, full of veneration towards Melchizedek, whose presence instilled fear. He approached the altar, on which there was a kind of tabernacle, I think for the sacrifice. Abraham, as was his custom, had placed Adam's bones on the altar, which Noah had already obtained in the ark. They asked God to fulfill the promise of the Messiah with them, which He had previously made to Adam. Melchizedek placed a colored cloth on the altar that he had brought with him and then another transparent white one. The ceremonies recalled the rite of the Holy Mass. I saw him lift up the bread and wine in his hands, offer, bless and distribute the bread. He gave Abraham the cup, which was later used at the Last Supper, to drink from; the others drank from cups, which were distributed by Abraham and the leading princes of the city.
The same thing was done with the breads. Each received a rather large bite, as was customary in the early days of the Church during communion. I saw that those pieces were shining; they were only blessed, not consecrated. Angels cannot consecrate.
Everyone was moved and lifted up to God. Melchizedek gave Abraham bread and wine to taste: this bread was more delicate and luminous than the others. On this occasion he received great strength and such robust faith that not later, he offered his own son, the son of hope, at God's command. He prophesied and said these words: 'This is not what Moses gave to the Levites on Sinai." I cannot be sure whether Abraham himself was already offering the sacrifice of bread and wine; but I can assure you that the cup from which he drank it is the same one that Jesus Christ used later when he instituted the Blessed Sacrament of the altar. On that occasion, Melchizedek blessed Abraham, during the sacrifice of bread and wine, he consecrated him a priest. He spoke about these words: 'And the Lord said to the Lord. my Lord: Sit at my right hand. You are an eternal priest, according to the order of Melchizedek.
He laid hands on him and Abraham gave him tithes. I understood the meaning of the consecration of Abraham's tithe after his consecration; but it has already faded from my memory. I also saw that David, when writing these words, had a vision of the consecration of Abraham by Melchizedek and that He spoke the last words prophetically. The words “Sit at my right hand” have a special meaning.
When I see in figure form the eternal generation of the Word in the Father's womb, the Son is shown emerging from the Father's right hand in luminous form, surrounded by a triangle, as the eye of God is represented; in the upper part it is seen by the Holy Spirit. All of this is inexplicable to me.
In the same way, I saw Eve emerge from Adam's right side. The patriarchs had the blessing on the right side and placed their sons, when They gave the blessing, on their right. Jesus received the spear on the right side. The Church was born on the right side of Jesus. To enter the Church, we do so on the right side of Jesus and thus we are united through Him with his Eternal Father.
I believe that with Melchizedek's sacrifice and Abraham's blessing, it undermined his mission on earth. After that I didn't see him again. Melchizedek left Abraham the cup with the six small vessels he used in the sacrifice.
XXXII - Abraham receives the mystery of the Old Testament
Abraham was sitting praying in front of his tent, under a leafy tree that overlooked the main road. I have seen him do this a few times, sitting like this to offer hospitality to travelers. He was then looking at the sky. He had before him a vision of God, like a ray of sunlight and the proximity of the three wise men who would visit him. Immediately he offered a lamb on the altar, and I saw him kneeling, as if in ecstasy, asking for the redemption of men. This altar was to the right of the great tree, in an open tent at the top. Farther away to the right was another tent, where Abraham kept the sacrificial equipment and where he received his shepherds when they came to see him. On the other side, a little further from the main path was the tent of Sarah and her servants, because the women lived separately. Abraham's sacrifice was ending when the three angels appeared on the royal road. They walked one after the other, with their clothes collected, like travelers. Abraham went out to meet them; He spoke to them, bowing down before them, before God, and led them to the altar tent, where they dropped their clothes and told Abraham to kneel. I saw what happened to Abraham, who was then as if in ecstasy, and what the angels did, in a short space of time, like everything that happens in that state. The first angel announced to Abraham, who was on his knees, that God wanted to generate among his descendants, a virgin without stain of sin, that, as an immaculate virgin, she should be the mother of the Redeemer. He told him that he would receive what Adam had lost through sin. Saying this, the angel gave him something luminous and made him drink, from a small container, a shining liquid. Then the angel blessed Abraham with his hand from the head down; then right shoulder towards the chest and finally from the left towards the same place, where the three lines of blessing were joined. With both hands the angel gave Abraham something luminous, like a small cloud: he placed it on his chest. I saw that the little cloud passed inside and I was sure that he had received the holy mystery.
The second angel told him that he should deliver this mystery, in the same way he received, before he died, the first son he would have from Sarah, and announced to him that Jacob, his grandson, would be the father of twelve children, who would even be the fathers of the twelve tribes. He added that this mystery of blessing would be taken away from Jacob; and when Jacob became a numerous people they were to pass into the Ark of the Covenant, as a blessing for the whole people, which had to be preserved through prayer. He also showed him how because of the sins of men, this mystery would pass from the ark to the prophets and, finally, to a man, who would be the father of the Immaculate Virgin. I knew on this occasion that the pagans would be given the promise through six prophetesses, and through the announcement that the stars would give
of the birth of the world's salvation from an undefiled virgin. Abraham on this occasion had a vision: he saw this virgin high in the sky and to her right he saw an angel who touched her mouth with a branch. From the Virgin's mantle the Church then emerged.
The third angel announced to Abraham the birth of Isaac. I saw Abraham so happy with the announcement of the promised Virgin and with the vision he had, that he hardly thought much about Isaac, and I think that later it was the promise of the future Virgin that consoled him and facilitated his fulfillment of the order of God to sacrifice Isaac.
After these things I saw that Abraham served the angels and I saw Sarah laugh. Then I saw how he led the angels along the way and how he prayed for Sodom. When Abraham returned from his ecstasy, he led the angels under the great tree and placed a dais, on which the angels sat, while he washed their feet. Then he went to where Sara was to prepare a meal, which she brought, covered with the veil, halfway to the road. After reflection, Abraham accompanied the angels along a section of the road, and while they were talking about the birth of their son, it was then when Sarah laughed, that she dared to say this because she was behind the tent. I saw many doves, domesticated like chickens, around the home. The meal consisted precisely of doves, round bread and honey.
Abraham had, before his departure and departure from Chaldea, through the ministry of an angel, knowledge of the mystery of the blessing, but veiled, and more as a promise of the fulfillment of the promise that he would be the father of a numerous city. Now this mystery or sacrament had been renewed to him through the angels, and he was fully instructed.
XXXIII - Story of Jacob
Rebekah knew that Esau had no ray of the mystery of God. Esau was clumsy, rude, and lazy. Jacob, on the other hand, was very lively, prudent and like his mother. Isaac leaned more toward Esau because he was the firstborn. He used to hunt. Rebekah was meditating on how to make the birthright and paternal blessing fall upon Jacob. Rebekah had suggested purchasing this right for Jacob. The meal consisted of a legume with meat and green leaves, such as lettuce. Esau was exhausted; Jacob extracted from him with his arts the delivery of the birthright. Isaac was already old, blind, and fearing that he would die, he wanted to give his blessing to Esau. Rebekah knew that Jacob should have it but she did not want to convince Isaac: she was very disturbed and restless. As Isaac did not want to postpone the fulfillment of his desire, and called Esau, who was nearby, Jacob had to hide so that Esau would not see him. Rebekah sent Jacob to fetch a goat from the pen, because Isaac had asked Esau to bring him some of his game. As soon as Esau left, Rebekah's food was ready. Esau's good clothes, which Rebekah put on Jacob, consisted of a jacket, such as he used to wear, but stiffer and embroidered on the chest. Esau had very hairy arms and chest, like a skin; That's why Rebeca put fur on her arms and chest, in the opening part. Only in terms of embroidery and decorations was this jacket different from the others; on the sides it was open and had an opening embroidered with delicate, dark-colored leather, which was worn around the neck. The sides were tied with leather ribbons. The waist band also served as a pocket. The jacket had no sleeves. The chest was free. What covered the head, as well as the type of apron, were dark red.
I saw how Isaac took Jacob in his arms and chest, where the hairy Esau was also, he hesitated and seemed regretful and indecisive. But taken at that moment, as was God's will, he ended up believing that it was Esau and gave Jacob the blessing he had received from Abraham, who had received it from the angel.
I saw, however, that he had already prepared something mysterious with Rebekah that belonged to this blessing: it was a drink contained in a cup. The children knew nothing about this: only those who had the blessing received the mystery, which, however, remained mysterious for them, as the Holy Sacrament for us. This vessel was flatter on one side than the other; it was transparent and luminous like mother-of-pearl; it was filled with a reddish liquid, and I had the impression that it was blood, like Isaac's own blood. Rebeca was involved in the preparation. When Isaac blessed Jacob, he went only with his father. He had to bare his chest in front of his father. The father took his hand, blessing it, on his forehead, in a straight line, downwards; then, from the right shoulder downwards, and the same from the left shoulder. He placed his right hand on Jacob's head and his left hand under his heart. With that, Jacob had to drink the drink; then followed a ceremony, as if Isaac gave him everything, power and strength, for it seemed that with both hands he took something from his body and placed it in Jacob. I was persuaded that the blessing was all his strength. In all these acts Isaac recited prayers aloud. Isaac was lying in bed when he gave the blessing, full of enthusiasm, and it came out of him like a glow.
When he drew the blessing lines he had his hands raised a little, like the priest when he says Dominus vobiscum. When Isaac prayed, Jacob had his hands crossed over his chest.
When Isaac gave him the blessing, Jacob received it by crossing his hands over his chest like someone hugging something sensitive. Finally, Isaac placed his hands on his head and stomach area. The cup from which Jacob drank was also given to him. When he finished the act of blessing, I saw Isaac completely exhausted by the effort or by the very giving of something he lost when giving it to Jacob. But I saw Jacob full of strength, rosy, full of life and animation.
At this time Esau returned from his hunt. When Isaac found out about the change of person, regarding the blessing, he was not angry; he knew it was God's will. Esau, on the other hand, was furious; and he tore out his hair; but it seemed to me that it was not so much the loss of the blessing, but rather the anger against Jacob. Both brothers were already men when Jacob received the blessing. Esau then had two wives, which greatly displeased his parents. Both were over forty. When Rebekah saw Esau's anger, she secretly sent Jacob to her brother Laban's house. I saw him leave. He wore a waist-length jacket and a knee-length tunic. sandals on their feet and scarves on their heads. He carried a traveler's cane and a bag of bread slung over his shoulders; on the other side, a bottle of drink. It was all he had with him. That's how I saw him leave his mother's side, dissolved in tears. Isaac also blessed him and told him to go out and take a wife right there. The parents suffered a lot because of Esau, especially Rebekah.
XXXIV - Jacob's Journey to Mesopotamia
I saw Jacob during his trip to Mesopotamia resting and sleeping, walking in the place where Bethel was later. The sun had set. He placed a stone as a pillow and fell asleep, lying on his back. His staff rested on his arm. I saw the ladder that he saw in dreams and of which the Scripture says was on the earth and that its tip reached to heaven. I saw, however, this ladder starting from Jacob, lying down, and reaching to heaven. I saw him as a living family tree of his own descent. In the same way that a family tree is normally represented, logically, I saw that, during Jacob's sleep, a green formation was born that was divided into three branches, which rose in a straight line, like a three-part pyramid, which ended at the top of the tree. sky.
These three initial branches were joined below by lateral branches. They are branches of the three main branches formed like the steps of the ladder. I saw these steps full of figures and apparitions, which were the descendants of Jacob, climbing the ladder, which represented the geology of Jesus, according to the flesh. These lateral branches sometimes overtook each other; other times they crossed paths; others were left behind and others, coming from another side, surpassed him according to the fact that through sin he blurred some line or was purified by penance and chastity from the germ of the humanity of the Word. At the top of the stairs there was a pure and beautiful flower, the Immaculate Mary, from which Jesus Christ would be born, reaching the ends of heaven. I saw, above this flower, the open sky, and the splendor of God, and how God himself spoke to Jacob from that height. I saw how Jacob, when he woke up in the morning, first prepared a foundation of round stones; He placed a flat stone and on it he placed the same stone on which he rested his head. He lit a fire and offered something, then he poured something on that stone. He prayed there kneeling. It seemed to me that he made fire, like the three wise men, through friction and friction.
Then I saw Jacob walking with his staff towards Laban's house, and stopping at several places like Bethel. On this trip I saw him again at Ainón, where he had been before; There he renovated a cistern, which was where he later baptized John. I saw him in Mahanim's place, praying and asking the Lord to protect him and preserve his clothes so that he wouldn't look so bad when he arrived at Laban's house, and he would recognize him as a relative.
I saw that then there appeared on both sides, floating in the air, two groups of people signifying that it would be protected and that it would multiply and be powerful. Upon returning from Mesopotamia, he received confirmation of what he had seen in vision. Then I saw him, walking further east, reaching the southern part of the Yabok River and spending the night there, in the same place where upon his return he fought with the angel. There he also had a vision.
Upon returning from Mesopotamia, Jacob stopped further west than Jabesh Gilead. I saw how Laban, his father-in-law, persecuted him because his idols were stolen from him, how he overtook him and brought him back, and how because of these stolen idols there was much discussion between the two. Jacob did not know that Rachel had secretly stolen them. When Rachel saw that her father, who had searched the entire camp for her idols, approached her, she hid the idols under a large amount of straw for the camels, and she sat on it covered with the veil, as if she were sick and withdrawn. This pile of hay was stacked. This pile of hay was near his tent, on the slope of the valley, south of the Yabok River. These idols were made of metal, like diaper dolls, about five and a half arms long. Other women sat on that pile of hay with Raquel. I remember seeing her sitting on an even larger haystack for Job in his misfortune. The pile was like an entire load of hay. The travelers took a lot of hay on the journey and carried more on the way. Rachel had been angry long before because of her father's idols and stole them to free him from this idolatry.
Jacob sent messengers to Esau, because he feared him. They returned announcing that Esau was approaching with four hundred men. Jacob then divided his people into two parts, and the cattle of the first, into several sections, which he sent forward into the presence of Esau. Jacob proceeded with his people towards Mahanim and there he again saw that vision which he had seen in the departure for Mesopotamia: an army of angels. For this reason he said: “With a staff I went out and I find myself enriched with two armies." I then understood the vision. When everything was transported to the other side of the river Yabok, he led his wives and children, and he was left alone. He pitched his tent there where, on the day of his departure for Palestine, he saw the presence of God. He wanted to spend the night there to pray. He made fences around his tent and told his servants to leave. here how he cried out to the Lord, presenting to him his anguish, and especially his great fear of Esau. The tent had an opening at the top so he could look better at the sky.
XXXV - The fight with the Angel
I saw Jacob's fight with the angel: it was all in vision. He got up to pray. Then the appearance of a person came from the great and luminous sky, and began to fight with him, as if he wanted to throw Jacob out of the tent until. In this way, they fought from one side of the tent to the other.
The apparition appeared as if it wanted to take Jacob to all the ends of the world, while Jacob would return, always fighting, to the middle of the tent. It was an omen that Jacob would be forced with his descendants to go to all parts of the world, but they would never leave the promised land. To the point that when Jacob returned to the center of his tent, the angel touched his hip.
I saw this at the time when Jacob, struggling with this visionary dream, wanted to lie down on the bed and fell exhausted. While the angel touched his hip and did there what was to be done, and he said to Jacob, who was still holding the angel, 'Leave me, for it is morning.'
Jacob awoke from his sleep and his struggle. saw the angel standing before him and said, 'I will not leave you unless you bless me' and God's blessing, for he still feared meeting Esau. Then the angel asked, 'What is your name?'
Abraham was also called Abraham when he was blessed. He replied - “My name is Jacob.” The angel said to him, “You will be called Israel, because you have struggled with God and with men and you have not been defeated." Jacob asked, What is your name? The angel replied, 'Why do you ask me my name?'
This meant: 'Don't you know me?'
Jacob bowed before him and received the blessing. The angel blessed Jacob as God had Abraham and as he blessed Isaac and as Isaac blessed Jacob, in three lines.
This blessing had a special relationship with patience and perseverance in adversity. The angel disappeared. Jacob saw the dawn and called the place Phanuel. He had his tent taken down and was reunited with his family, walking along the Yabok River. The sun then appeared and Jacob began to limp on one side, as he was weakened there.
When Esau and Jacob separated, he withdrew with all his followers to Mahanim and took possession of the region from Sukkot to the hill of Ainon with his cattle and his servants. He lived ten years in Ainón. So he spread out with his possessions from Ainon eastward beyond the Jordan toward Salem, and he had his tents as far as Shechem and bought a field there.
I saw how Dinah walked with her servants curiously and talked with the Shechemites. I saw that Shechem treated her kindly and when her maids returned home, she stayed in Shechem. Therefore, then came a great calamity upon her and assault and death upon the Shechemites. Shechem was then a small city made of square stones and had only one gate.
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob and the Patriarchs were, on the right side of their bodies, of greater power than on the left side. The fact was not noticed externally. They wore loose robes so they could hide. There was a fullness in them, in that part, like a swelling. It was a tabernacle, a blessing and a hidden mystery. It was shaped like a bean with a germ and was luminous. The firstborn received it from his father and that is why he had so much pre-eminence. Jacob received him in Esau's place and his mother knew he was destined for this. When the angel, after his quarrel with Jacob, touched him, he lost the mysterious germ of the blessing. None of them were injured; It was as if the fullness had run out. Since then he was not so strong and not so sure of God's protection. Before he was like a man strengthened by a sacrament. After he lost, however, he became more humble, more careful and thoughtful, and suffered greater need. Jacob felt that his blessing of strength was being taken away, and therefore he did not want to leave the angel until he blessed him, trying to strengthen him. Then Joseph received this blessing again through an angel, when he was in the prison of Pharaoh of Egypt.
XXXVI - Story of Joseph
When Joseph was sold to Egypt, he was sixteen years old. He was of regular height, slender, flexible, witty in soul and body. He was very different from his brothers. Everyone was inclined to love him. If his father had not given him such preference, his brothers would have loved him. Rubén was more noble than the others; Benjamin was, however, a large, rough young man, but with a gentle and docile character.
José wore his hair divided into three parts, two on each side and the third part curled along the body. When he was out of Egypt he left it short; later, again long. With the polymite tunic Jacob also gave Joseph some bones from Adam, without Joseph knowing what they were. He gave them to Jacob for protection, because he knew his brothers envied him.
Joseph placed these bones of Adam in a small round leather bag, which hung on his chest. When his brothers sold him, they took only his colorful tunic and his usual clothing; but Joseph still wore a sash around his body and a kind of scapular on his chest, under which was the bag of relics. That Polymite tunic was white with red stripes and had three black cords on the chest with yellow decorations in the center. This tunic was tighter and wider above to be able to carry objects inside; below it was narrower and on the sides there were openings so that it could walk easily. It reached all the way down; at the back it was a little more pendulous and at the front it was open. Unlike his common clothing, it only reached below the knees. Joseph was already known to Pharaoh and his wife when he performed his duties with Pharaoh so well, when Joseph was in his house, that Pharaoh greatly desired to see this servant. Pharaoh's wife was eager to obtain grace and help from gods, and she was very attached to idols, and even desired to meet new deities. Thus he was greatly amazed at the wisdom, vivacity and nobility of the young stranger, so much so that inwardly he considered him a god and said to Pharaoh: 'This man is commanded by the gods: he is not a man like the rest.' They placed him in the most decent part of the prisoners, and he became superintendent of the other prisoners. Pharaoh's wife wept and was very sorry that he had been imprisoned as a wicked man, and believed that she was wrong in her former view when he was released from prison. and taken to court, he was always very fond of him. The cup that he later ordered to be placed in Benjamin's bag was the first gift from Pharaoh's wife. a precious stone or transparent material, which was unknown, and had a shape very similar to the upper part of the cup of the Last Supper. It was found among the vessels that the children of Israel carried from Egypt and was later kept in the Ark of the Covenant. .
Joseph spent seven years in prison, and being there in the greatest distress, he received the mysterious germ of Jacob, as the patriarchs had received, and there he saw a vision of his numerous descendants. He knew Potiphar's wife well and knew how she would try to seduce him. After Joseph's elevation, he did penance for his fault and lived chastely. She was a tall, strong woman, dark yellow in color, like shiny silk.
She wore a colorful garment and over it another adam with beautiful figures, beneath which the inner garment was protruding with lace. Joseph dealt with her a lot because Potiphar had given him the government over all things.
When José realized that she treated him with too much attention, he no longer wanted to sleep at his boss's house if he wasn't there. She visited him frequently when working or writing. I saw her appear once very naked while José was in a corner of the room, writing and taking notes. They then wrote on parchment that they supported on boards protruding from the walls, before which they could stand or sit. She spoke and José responded; but she was very bold that time. Then José turned and left there. She held his cloak and he let it go.
XXXVII – Asenet – Origin of the deities Isis and Osiris
I saw Joseph together with the priest of the gods, Potiphar, in Heliopolis. Asenet, daughter of Dinah and Shechemite, was there, as a prophetess and worshiper of idols, who lived in the company of seven other young women. Potiphar bought this girl at the age of five from her mistress, who, fleeing from the house of Jacob, hid her in a place in the Dead Sea to free her from the traps of Jacob's sons. Potiphar as a prophetess. Joseph knew her, but He didn't know that she was his niece. Asenet was a young woman who lived withdrawn, very serious, and sought the truth, and although very beautiful, she avoided male company. She had profound visions, knew Egyptian astrology, and had a secret sympathy for the religion of the patriarchs. I saw neither witchcraft nor magical arts in her.
He saw in his visions the whole mystery of the life, the descendants, the future of the children of Israel and their exit from Egypt, as well as the journey through the desert. She wrote on leaves of aquatic plants and also on leather with strange characters that looked like the heads of animals and birds.
These writings of Asenet were misinterpreted during his lifetime by the Egyptians, who found in them material for their idolatrous rites. Asenet was very distressed by this diabolical abuse of her little writings and cried.
He greatly lamented the blindness of the Egyptians. She had more visions than anyone else of her time and was filled with wonderful wisdom. She worked, without rest, in great silence, without ostentation, giving healthy advice to everyone. She knew how to knit and embroider; she was full of knowledge and knew how the truth was lost because of the wickedness of men. That's why she always had a cloud of sadness and remained withdrawn and silent. I saw that Senté was praying that she would be worshiped as a goddess by the name of Isis, due to the distorted interpretation of her writings and parchments. Joseph was later venerated under the name Osiris. I think that's why I saw her so pink and teary-eyed. She wrote books against this misinterpretation, protesting that they were making her the mother of goddesses. When Potiphar offered sacrifices, Asenet climbed a tower where a garden was formed and from there he observed the stars in the sky in the glow of the moon. Being thus in ecstasy, she saw things in the stars very clearly: she saw the truth in these images, because he was a guiding element of God. On the other hand, other idol priests saw the most abominable things, because they were transported to strange and diabolical regions. Thus the secret visions of Asenet were transformed, promised and approved to serve the cruel rites of the Egyptian priests.
XXXVIII - Progress achieved by Joseph and Asenet in Egypt
Asenet reported much progress to the Egyptian people. He introduced useful domestic animals, for example cows. He taught cheese making, weaving and other unknown arts. She knew how to cure many diseases. Joseph, in turn, brought to Egypt the use of the plow that he himself knew how to guide and use. I saw something from Asenet that amazes me. When a collection of all the flesh from the numerous sacrifices that were offered, the
It was cooked for a long time in large cauldrons, in the open air, until it formed a liquid mass, which they used as food for soldiers who went to war or when there was famine in the country. This made the Egyptians happy and they were very surprised. When Joseph approached Asenet, who was standing next to the priest of the gods, Asenet wanted to hug him. This was not her boldness, but a kind of prophecy and so she did it in the presence of the priest. Asenet was considered a holy and sacred person. But I saw that Joseph stopped her with his hands outstretched, saying: harsh words. I then saw her withdraw to her tent, very agitated and very distressed, and do penance. Then I saw Asenet in her room; she was behind a curtain; Her hair was long and very curly at the ends. He had a figure engraved on the skin in the stomach cavity: it was like a heart-shaped scale. Inside was a child with open arms; In one hand he had a cup or ladle and in the other a glass or goblet. There were three green spikes sticking out of the shell and the figure of a dove seemed to peck at the grapes from the chalice that was in the child's other hand. This sign was not unknown to Jacob; yet he had to take Asenet away to free her from the wrath of her brothers. When he later took Jacob to Egypt, together with Joseph, and confided the whole secret to him, He recognized Asenet as his granddaughter because of this sign. Joseph also had in mind the sign of a vine with many clusters.
I saw an angel appear, dressed for a grand celebration, with a lotus flower in his hand. He greeted Asenet; she looked at him and covered herself with the veil. The angel ordered him to stop crying and being distressed, to dress for a party and eat a meal. She left and came back more composed, bringing light, a brazier and wine on a small table. She was not embarrassed in front of the angel, but with simplicity and humility, as I saw Abraham and other patriarchs in such appearances. When the angel spoke he took off his veil. He asked her for honey and she replied that she didn't have any, because she didn't eat it like other young women. Then the angel told him that he would find honey among the idols that were in the chamber, in different figures, with animal heads and snake tails wrapped around their legs. In fact, she found there a honeycomb in the form of a host, with many combs and placed it in front of the angel, who ordered her to eat from the honeycomb. The angel blessed the honeycomb: I saw it then shining and as if suspended between the two.
I cannot now explain the meaning of this honey, because when you see things like this, you know everything; so it seems to you, honey, what is honey, flower, what is a flower, and bees and honeycombs what they are, without remembering what they mean. I only remember the following: until then Asenet had bread and wine and not honey itself; through this honey she laid aside her idols and her cults, and the religion of the Israelites, the salvation of the Old Testament, entered into her. It also meant that many would find help in her and that, like bees, they would surround her. Then she said that she no longer wanted to drink wine, honey was enough for her. I saw this in Midian, next to Jethro, that many bees were cared for, many honeycombs. The angel blessed the honeycomb with his fingers, pointing to all parts of the world. This meant that she would be a mother and leader of many with her wisdom, with her presence there and with the visions and revelations. When she was later worshiped as a goddess and had so many breasts, this was a false representation of that same mission on earth, which was to comfort many in need.
The angel also told her that she should be Joseph's wife, with whom she should live. He blessed her just as Isaac did Jacob and the angel did Abraham. The angel passed three lines of blessing over her twice: the first on her heart and the second on her lap.
Later I had a representation of how Joseph came to Potiphar and asked Asenet to be his wife. I only remember that Joseph then brought a lotus flower in his hands. He knew Asenet's great knowledge, but neither one nor the other were aware of being so close to each other. I also saw that Pharaoh's son loved Asenet and so he had to stay hidden for some time. I saw that this son of Pharaoh had made an agreement with Dan and Gad to kill Joseph and they were kept hidden for that purpose; but they were prevented by Judah from making their attempt. I think Judah received a warning from heaven and warned Joseph so that on his journey he would take another path. I remember that Benjamin was also successful in defending Asenet. Dan and Gad received punishment from heaven because some of their children died. They were also warned by the love of God, before anyone knew of their evil intention. Joseph and Asenet gave, as was the custom of the priests of the gods, a sign considered holy, of their great power, when they appeared before the people. They were in his hand like a scepter. The upper part of this sign was a ring and the lower part, a Latin cross, was a T. It served as a seal: when the wheat was measured and distributed, the piles were marked with this seal. The wheat deposits and canal works and the falls and rises of the Nile were marked with this sign. The scriptures were sealed with it, after being sprinkled with a red vegetable liquid. When José carried out his job, he had this sign, this cross, inserted into the ring, next to him, on a carpet. It seemed to me a copy of the mystery of the Ark of the Covenant present in Joseph. Asenet had an instrument similar to a stick, with which while in vision she walked, and when this staff was shaken in her hands, she reached the ground and found underground water. and springs. This instrument was made under the influence of the stars.
When going out to parties, José and Asenet traveled in a shiny car. Asenet carried a golden shield on his chest, which, under his arms, covered his entire body. On this shield there were many figures and signs. His robe reached his knees. The shoes had a high pointy toe, like skating boots. The cap consisted of a kind of helmet, made of feathers of different colors, intertwined with pearls. Joseph wore a tight coat, with golden sleeves and shield, also with figures; in the middle of the body there were straps with golden knots; on his shoulder was a cloak, and his cap was also made of feathers with decorations.
XXXIX - Idolatry in Egypt in the time of Joseph
When Joseph arrived in Egypt, new Memphis was being built, which is seven hours north of old Memphis. Between the two cities there was, on dikes, a street as wide as an avenue. Among trees and trees were figures of idols and goddesses of frightening and grotesque appearance, with the bodies of dogs, sitting on stone platforms. There were no beautiful buildings yet, but long valleys and artistic stone mountains (pyramids) full of chambers and undergrounds. The dwellings were lighted with a wooden superstructure. There were many forests and swamps at that time between these buildings. The Nile had already changed course when Mary had to flee to Egypt.
The Egyptians worshiped all types of animals: frogs, snakes, crocodiles and many more. They weren't scared if they saw a crocodile eating a man. When Joseph arrived in Egypt, the worship of the log was not yet customary. This cult arose from Pharaoh's dream with the seven fat and seven lean cows of the Nile. They had many forms of idols: one like children in diapers, others curled up like snakes, and others that could be narrowed or enlarged at will. Some idols had figures on their chests, like shields, which represented cities or the course of the Nile in a wonderful way. These shields were made according to the dreams and visions that the priests had in their towers, according to which the canals were made and the cities were built. In this way they will build Memphis.
Evil spirits must have had a greater bodily influence at that time on men. I saw it come out of the earth and from the depths everything gave the influence of the magical arts of the Egyptians. When a priest began to exercise his magical arts, he would see all kinds of disgusting animals entering his mouth in the form of black vapor. Later, he found himself drunk, out of his mind and having visions. It was as if with each vapor he entered an unknown world that opened before his view, and then he saw the near and the far, the depths of the earth, the remote regions and the men in them, things hidden and concealed; that is, all those who had a relationship with evil spirits.
Later magic seemed to me to be largely under the influence of the spirits of the air. Everything that these magicians saw through these spirits, it seemed to me that they were like tricks, illusions and fictitious images, which the demons formed before their visions. I started looking at these images on my own: it was like seeing through a shadow or something transparent.
When these priests wanted to look at the stars in search of the future, they first performed some acts of fasting and purification: they covered themselves with sacks and spread ashes and, while observing the stars, they offered sacrifices.
They observed its towers and pyramids. The pagans of that time had a confused and corrupt knowledge of the mysteries of religion, of the true worship of God, which through Set, Enoch, Noah and the patriarchs had passed on to the Hebrew people. This explains why there was so much cruelty and perversion in idol worship, because the devil obscured and corrupted true worship and the truths revealed by God, as later happened with magic and the diabolical arts of witchcraft. Because of this, God ordered that the secret of the Ark of the Covenant be surrounded by fire, for its preservation. Women in the time of the pharaohs still dressed as they did in the time of Semiramis.
When Jacob came to Joseph in Egypt, he followed the same path that Moses later traveled, leading the Israelites to the promised tent.
He had a vision that he would see Joseph again: he carried it in his heart, however vaguely. When he was on a pilgrimage to Mesopotamia, he had a vision of his children's future; not at the place of the vision of the ladder, but where he lifted the stone. He saw that one of them, in the place where he was later sold, Joseph sank and a star appeared in the south. Therefore, when they brought him the coat dipped in blood, he remembered the previous vision, which he had already forgotten, and said, 'I must weep for Joseph until I see him again.' Jacob asked Reuben to find out what wife he had. .
José, without telling him, however, that she was his niece. He became friends with Potiphar and, after much friendship with Jacob, he was circumcised and embraced the worship of the true God and the religion of the Hebrews. Jacob lived a day's journey away from Joseph. When he fell ill, Joseph went to see him. Jacob asked him several questions about Asenet and when he learned about the mark on her chest he said to Joseph: 'This is flesh of your flesh, this is bone of your bones', thus revealing who Asenet was. José was so moved that he fainted from the emotion. When he got home he told his wife and they both cried heartily together over everything they had just learned.
XL - Death of Jacob and Joseph
Jacob became weaker and weaker and Joseph turned to him again. Jacob placed his legs on the ground and Joseph placed his hand on his head swearing that he would bury him in Canaan. After swearing, Jacob blessed Joseph. He knew that Joseph had received the blessing that was taken from him by the angel remained in his body, even after his death, until the night of his departure from Egypt, in which Moses undid the mystery with the remains Joseph's mortal remains, which he later placed in the Ark of the Covenant, as a sacred secret for the people of Israel. About three months after Joseph's visit, Jacob died. After his death, the Egyptians and Israelites held a trial, according to their custom, in which he was highly praised and appreciated by everyone.
Asenet gave Joseph valuable sons: the first, Manasseh and Ephraim, and in total eighteen sons, including several twins. She died three years before Joseph and was embalmed by Jewish women. As long as Joseph lived, he remained mentioned on her monument. The village elders took something from its entrails which they preserved in a golden figure. As the Egyptians also attempted to remove part of the body, the Jewish wives were entrusted with Asenet's body and one of them kept it hidden among the sugarcane fields of the Nile, closed in a well-caulked box. On the night of the departure from Egypt, a midwife named Sarah, from the tribe of Asher, brought this treasure to Moses conditioned. Joseph was embalmed after his death by some Jews, in the presence of the Egyptians, and then the union of the bodies of Joseph and Asenet took place, according to the drawings and notes that Asenet had made, in accordance with her visions and which she had left for the Jews.
Also the Egyptian priests and stargazers, who welcomed Joseph and Asenet among the gods, were aware of these drawings and had an idea of the great importance of Joseph and Asenet's blessing for the Hebrew people. So they tried to convey this blessing to themselves and then began to oppress the Hebrews. After Joseph's death, they were severely treated, and they multiplied greatly, by the Pharaoh of Egypt. The Egyptians knew that they would not leave Egypt without Joseph's bones. Therefore, they stole these remains several times and finally took full possession of them. The common people knew of the existence of Joseph's body, but they were unaware of the mystery hidden there; Some people knew this. The whole city was greatly dismayed when the elders discovered that Joseph's body and the mystery in which the promises rested had been stolen from them. Moses, who was educated at Pharaoh's court in all the sciences of the Egyptians, visited his people and thus he learned the cause of their sorrow. When he later killed the Egyptian and had to flee, it was God's providence that took refuge in the house of Jethro: this, therefore, through his friendship with the sibyl Sephora, was able to help him discover the hiding place of the treasure of the mystery10.
Moses had married Zipporah by inspiration of God, who wanted to reunite this branch that had been dispersed and unite it with Israel.
XLI - Semolina, Moses and the body of Joseph
Semola was the natural daughter of Pharaoh, of a Jewish mother and although instructed and educated in Egyptian astrology, she was very fond of the Hebrews. She was the one who first discovered that Moses was not Pharaoh's son, although he had been educated at court. Aaron, after the death of his first wife, joined a daughter of Semola, so that the friendship and union with the Israelites became stronger and more durable. The children of this marriage left Egypt with the Israelites. Aaron later had to separate from her because the priesthood was of pure Hebrew blood. This daughter of Semola remarried, and her descendants lived, in the time of Jesus Christ, in Abila, where the mummy was taken by her mother. Sémola was very educated and had great influence in the Pharaoh's court. He had on his forehead like an excrescence, such as I saw in ancient times on other men gifted with prophecy. She felt inclined by the spirit of God to do many favors to the Hebrews.
Precisely on the night that the exterminating angel passed by killing the firstborn, Semola went out covered, with Moses, Aaron and three other Israelites and went to where there were two burial hills, separated by a canal and joined by a bridge. The canal was built between Memphis and Goshen on the Nile River. The entrance to the sepulchral monument was under the bridge, deeper than the surface of the water, and you had to go down steps that started at the bridge. Semola went down alone with Moses and writing the name of God on a parchment, she threw it into the waters, which divided, making the entrance to the monument evident. They knocked on the stone that acted as a door that opened inwards. Then they called the other men. Moses tied their hands with his stole and made them swear that they would keep the secret. After the oath, he released his hands and everyone went to the monument, where they turned on the light. There were many other rooms and figures of the dead. The body of Joseph and the remains of Asenet were in an Egyptian monument, in the shape of a bull, made of metal, which shone like dull gold. They lifted the lid and Moses took on the mystery of Joseph's skeleton, hid it in a cloth and passed it to Semola, who carried it, hiding it in the clothes of his robe. The other bones were piled on a stone and arranged in cloths to be carried by the men. Now that they had Joseph's remains and the mystery with them, the children of Israel could leave Egypt. Semolina cried with comfort. The people were full of joy.
Moses placed a relic of Joseph's body at the end of his staff. The staff ended in a medlar tree with leaves around it. It was not the same as he threw it in the presence of Pharaoh and turned into a snake. This was hollow at the top and bottom, so that the top and bottom met.
They could remove or add at will. With the lower part, which seemed to me metal, Moses touched the rock as if he were writing something on it. The rock opened at the touch of that point and the water gushed out. Where Moses hit the sand with the tip of his cane and wrote something, water sprang up. The upper part, shaped like a medlar, could be removed or placed, and upon contact with this part the Red Sea divided into two parts.
One hundred and sixty years passed from the death of Joseph to the departure from Egypt, according to our way of calculation. In Egypt they used another system to calculate weeks and years. It has been said to me several times, but I cannot now reproduce this explanation. While the Israelites lived in Egypt, they only had tents instead of a temple. For the altar they built one of stones, poured oil on it and generally offered wheat among the vegetables and lambs among the animals. When offering the sacrifice, they sang and prayed.
XLII - Melchizedek, Elisha and the priesthood
I have always seen Melchizedek as a priestly angel and a figure of Jesus, priest of the earth. Insofar as the priesthood was in God, Melchizedek was a priest according to the eternal order. I saw that he was sent to the earth to prepare, found, build and separate the races of men and establish them on the earth.
I saw the works of Enoch and Noah and their importance in keeping men good; but I also saw, in parallel, the incessant action of the power of darkness and hell with a thousand forms and manifestations of an earthly, carnal and diabolical idolatry, and from this idolatry was born and reproduced an endless series of other sins and conspiracies of form and manner, such as than by the internal force and necessity of things. I saw the sins and the derivations and figures of these reproductions, which, according to their kind, had the same form as their causes, as in the beginning man was the image of God. So I was shown all this from Abraham to Moses, and from Moses to the prophets, always in relation and in images of things that have come down to our days.
Here I was shown, for example, why today's priests no longer know how or help in illnesses, and taught me why they do not do this or achieve this to a very different degree. I was shown this gift of the priesthood among the prophets and the cause of their way of acting.
I saw, for example, in the story of Elisha, when he gave his staff to Giezi so that he could place it on the dead son of Shunam's wife. In the staff was the strength of Elisha and contained within him the strength of a spiritual mission. The baton was like an arm's length away. On the occasion of this story I saw the internal reason for the personal strength of bishops, the scepter of kings and their power, as long as it is supported by the virtue of faith that unites it with the one who was sent separately from the others who are not. In Giezi's case I saw that he didn't have enough faith and the child's mother believed that only Elisha could resurrect him. In this way, doubt intervened between the figure of Elisha (who was from God) and the prophet's staff; because of the human way of seeing and feeling, and Elisha's rod could not act due to the interposition of this human impediment. Then I saw Elisha lie on the dead man, hand to hand, mouth to mouth and chest to chest, in fervent prayer, until the soul returned to the body of the deceased child. On this occasion he showed me the similarity of this work and its relationship with the death of Jesus on the cross. In the case of Elisha, they were opened by faith and the power of God, the source of grace and reparation for man, closed by guilt and sin: head, chest, hands and feet. Elisha lay like a living and figurative cross on the dead and nailed cross of the dead child, and through his prayer and faith he brought life and health to the child, and repaired and paid for the sins that the parents committed with their heads, their hands , feet and heart, causing the child's death. I saw in all of this an image of Jesus' death on the cross and his wounds and wounds, and how in all of this there is a wonderful and inexplicable harmony. Since the death of Jesus on the cross, I have seen in the priesthood of the Church this power to repair and heal in all its fullness, especially in truly believing Christians.
As we live in Jesus and are crucified with Him, they open the doors of their sacred wounds in us with all their effectiveness. I saw many things about the efficacy of laying the hands on the head and about the strength of the blessing and the virtue of the hand at a distance, and all this was declared and shown to me at the time and in connection with the staff of Elisha, who was the representative of his miracle hand.
XLIII - The Ark of the Covenant
On the same night that Moses rescued the mystery of Joseph's body, the box was built in the form of a sarcophagus, made of gold, where it was kept in mystery upon leaving Egypt. It had to be so big that a man could fit inside; It was supposed to be like a church to them and a body. It was the same night, they would mark the doors with blood. Seeing the speed with which they worked on this box, I thought of the holy cross, which was also hastily made the night before Christ died in it. The ark was made of gold plates and had the figure of an Egyptian mummies sarcophagus. It was wider at the top than at the bottom; Above was the figure of a face with rays of light and on the sides the spaces of the arms and ribs. In the middle of the ark was placed a golden box containing the sacrament or mystery which Semola took from the tomb of Joseph. In the lower part were placed sacred vessels and the cups of the patriarchs, which Abraham received from Melchizedek, and inherited with the blessing of the birthright. Such was the content and form of the first Ark of the Covenant, which was covered with a red cloth and a white cloth on top. Only on Mount Sinai was the wooden ark built, lined with gold on the outside, in which the golden sarcophagus with the sacrament or mystery was kept. This sarcophagus did not reach more than half the height of the ark and was not as long as it; There was still room for two small containers, in which were relics of the families of Jacob and Joseph, and where was Aaron's rod. When this Ark of the Covenant was placed in the temple of Zion, it underwent changes inside: the sarcophagus was removed and a small figure of it, made of white material, was removed.
Since I was a child, I had seen the ark and everything it contained many times inside and out, like the things that were added. They used to place inside it all the sacred things that followed. However, it was not heavy because it could be transported easily. The ark was longer than it was wide; the height was equal to the width. It had a protruding frame at the bottom like a foot. The upper part had a very artistic gold ornament half a cubit long; there were flowers, parchments, faces, suns and stars painted there. Everything was very well done and did not protrude much beyond the upper edge of the chest. Below, at the ends of the sides, there were two rings where the sticks by which it was transported were placed. The other parts of the ark were decorated with all kinds of figures in colored wood, satin wood and gold. In the middle of the ark there was a small door, almost imperceptible, so that the high priest could take out and put back the sacrament or mystery when he was alone, blessing or prophesying. This door opened in two towards the interior and was such that the priest could place his hand. Where the poles of the litter passed were raised a little, to expose the door. When both doors were folded inwards, they at the same time opened the golden container, surrounded by curtains, like a book, showing the sacrament or mystery that was there. On the lid of the ark was the throne of grace. It was a gold-covered dish containing sacred bones, as large as the lid itself, protruding only a little from it. On each side four wooden nails were fixed, which entered the ark, in such a way that one could see inside through them. Carnations had fruit-like heads; the four outer bolts supported the four sides of the ark; the four interiors were lost inside. On each side of the throne of grace was a child-sized cherub. Both were gold. In the middle of this throne of grace there was a round opening, like a crown, and from the center rose a pole that ended in a seven-pointed flower. At this point rested the right hand of one cherub and the left of another, while the other two hands were extended. The right wings of one and the left of the other were raised together and the two remaining wings fell on the throne of grace. The outstretched hands of the cherubs were in a position to alert and warn. The cherubim were on the throne of grace resting on one knee; the others, leaning on the ark. Their faces and gazes were turned away from the sanctuary, as if they were afraid to look at it. They wore a single garment, half body. On long journeys, they used to take them out of the chest and carry them separately. I saw that above, where the stick ended in seven points, that the priests added a dark matter to the fire, like a sacred incense, which they took from a box. I also saw that lightnings of light often came from inside to outside and other times rays of light came down from the sky and entered inside. Other times, lights on the sides, indicating the path that should be taken on pilgrimages. This pole entered the interior of the ark and had some supports, on which the golden vessel of the sacrament or mystery was hung and on it the two tables of the Law. In front of the sacrament hung a vessel of manna. When I looked into the ark from one side, I could not see the sacrament.
I always recognized and had the ark as a church, the mystery as an altar with the sacrament and the vessel with manna seemed to me like the lamp before the Holy One. When I went to church as a child, I explained to myself the things I saw there in relation to what I had observed in the Ark of the Covenant. His mystery seemed to me like the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar.
But it didn't seem so full of grace, but rather a mixture of fear and reverence. This gave me another impression of fear and awe. It produced me, that of love and grace; but it always seemed very sacred and mysterious to me. It seemed to me that everything that was holy was in the ark; that our holy things were in it as a germ, as in a future existence, and that the sacrament of the ark was the most mysterious of all. It seemed to me that the ark was the foundation of the sacrament of the altar, and this, the fulfillment and reality. I can't say it better. This mystery was hidden from the Hebrews, as the Sacrament of the altar was hidden from us. I felt that only a few priests knew what it was and that few, by the illumination of heaven, knew, and used it. Many ignored and did not use: it happened to them as it happens to us, that we ignore many graces and wonders of the Church, and how even our eternal salvation would be compromised if it were founded only on human strength and understanding. But our faith is founded on a rock.
The blindness of the Jews has always seemed to me worth weeping and lamenting. They had the entire germ and did not want to recognize the fruit of that same germ. First they had the mystery: it was like the testimony, the promise; then came the law and, lastly, grace. When the Lord spoke in Fichar, the people asked him where the mystery or sacrament of the Ark of the Covenant had gone. He replied that men had already received much from him, and that it had now been transmitted to them; by the very fact that he no longer existed, they were then able to recognize that the Messiah had arrived.
XLIV - Joaquín receives the mystery
I see this sacrament or mystery in the form of a covering, as a capacity, a being, a force. It was bread and wine, flesh and blood: it was the germ of blessing and offspring, before sin; It was the sacramental existence of the descent, before sin, which was kept for men in religion and which had to become more and more pure, in virtue, of this descent, until it reached Mary, in whom it would be completed, to give us, by the work of the Holy Spirit, the long-awaited Messiah born of this pure Virgin.
Noah planted the vineyard and this was already preparation: there was already some conciliation and protection. Abraham received this mystery in the blessing, and I saw that he transmitted this sacrament as something real, as something substantial. It remained a family secret. This explains the great prerogatives that the birthright brought. Before leaving Egypt, Moses received this mystery and as before it had been a family and religious secret, thus becoming a mystery for the entire city. He entered the Ark of the Covenant as well as the Blessed Sacrament of the Altar in the tabernacle, as in the monstrance.
When the children of Israel worshiped the golden calf and fell into many aberrations, Moses himself doubted the power of the sacrament, and for this reason he was bound to be unable to enter the promised land. When the Ark of the Covenant fell into the hands of enemies or any other danger, it was known that the sacrament was performed by the priest, and yet the ark was so sacred that the enemies were forced to return it due to the punishments they received. Only a few knew about the existence of this mystery in the ark and its power to expand charity. It often happened that a man stained by sin and impurity the sacred line of descent to the Messiah, and therefore the union of the Savior with man was postponed; but men could through penance remove and purify this sacred mystery. I cannot say precisely whether due to the content of this sacrament it was realized, by a kind of consecration, a divine foundation or a supernatural fullness in the priests, or whether it sees everything entirely from God immediately. I believe in the first; because I saw that some priests despised him and prevented the coming of salvation and were punished for this even with death.
When the sacrament worked and the prayer was heard, the mystery glowed and grew and shone with a reddish light through its envelope. This blessing of mystery increased or decreased according to the times and the piety and purity of men. Through prayer, sacrifice, and penance, he seemed to grow and increase in strength. In front of people I saw it used only by Moses, when worshiping the golden calf and crossing the Red Sea, although he kept it veiled, hidden from the eyes of men. It was taken by him from the sacred vessel and covered, as the Holy sacrament is removed on Good Friday and is carried before the breast to bless or conjure, as if it were operating at a distance. In this way, Moses freed many from idolatry and death. I saw that the High Priest, when he was alone in the sanctuary, used it, moving it from side to side, as a strength, a protection or a blessing, an elevation to bless or punish. He did not take it with his hands, but with a veil. For sacred purposes I saw it used by dipping it in water, which was blessed and given to drink. The prophetess Deborah, as well as later Ana, mother of Samuel, in Shiloh, as well as later Emerencia, mother of Saint Anne, drank this sacred water.
By drinking this sacred water, Emerencia was prepared to generate Saint Anne. Saint Anne did not drink this water, because the blessing was in it.
Joachim received, through the ministry of an angel, the sacrament of the Ark of the Covenant. Thus was Mary conceived, beneath the golden door of the temple, and with her birth she herself became the ark of mystery. The purpose of this sacrament has been fulfilled. The wooden ark of the temple was now without sacrament and without mystery. When Joachim and Ana found themselves under the golden door of the temple, they were filled with light and the Immaculate Virgin was conceived without original sin. There was a wonderful sound around her, like a voice from God. This mystery of the Immaculate Conception of Mary, in Santa Ana, men cannot understand and is subject to their understanding. The generational lineage of Jesus received the germ of the blessing of the Incarnation of the Word. Jesus Christ instituted the Sacrament of the New Covenant as a future, as a fulfillment of it, to once again unite men with God.
XLV – At the end of the world this mystery will be discovered and clarified
When Jeremiah, facing Babylonian captivity, had to hide the Ark of the Covenant with other sacred objects on Mount Sinai, the mystery was no longer inside. Only the package was hidden with the Ark of the Covenant. He knew the sanctity of the content and often wanted to speak about it to men, as well as about the wickedness of the people, this dishonored him; but the prophet Malachi stopped him in his attempt and took away the mystery. Through this prophet he reached the Essenes later, and by a priest was returned to the ark made later. Malachi was like Melchizedek, God's messenger: I never saw him as a common, ordinary man11. He appeared like a man, like Melchizedek he spoke, though a little different from him, as the times required. Shortly after Daniel was taken to Babylon, I saw Malachi as a seven-year-old boy, lost, with a green garment and a stick in his hands, who seemed to be going to Zarephath, to the tribe of Zabulun, to the home of a family pious. They received him as one of their lost Israelite sons out of captivity, and took him with them. He was extremely kind, extremely patient and authoritarian, so that everyone loved him and so that he could teach and advise without contradiction. He had a close relationship with Jeremiah and he helped him in great needs with his advice. Through him Jeremiah was released from prison in Jerusalem. The Ark of the Covenant hidden by Jeremiah on Mount Sinai was never found. The ark that was made later was not as beautiful nor did it contain what was in the previous one. Aaron's rod passed into the hands of the Essenes, on Mount Orb, where part of the sacred things were also hidden. The tribe that Moses had assigned to the custody of the ark remained until the time of Herod.
On the last day everything that is hidden will appear and the mystery will be clarified, to the terror of all those who have contaminated and ignored it.

Theologians wonder whether in the state of innocence the act of generation would have been carried out as it is today. Saint John Chrysostom, Saint Basil, Saint Gregory Nisene, Saint Athanasius, Saint John Damascene deny this. Saint Jerome, Anastácio Sinafta, etc.; and this denial is confused by the revelations of Saint Bridget, Saint Gertrude and Saint Mectildis. On the other hand, Santo Tomás, Suárez and others are of the opposite opinion.

Straubinger and others translate from the Hebrew hanachash, for serpent, and arum, for cunning, which could also be insinuating; but they cannot tell us what that animal was like before God's curse and its condemnation to crawl on the earth.

This, which seems new and unprecedented, is not. The Franciscan Pedro Galatino writes: “It was the opinion of the ancient Jews that the Mother of God was not only created in the mind of God ab initio and ante saecula, but also that her matter was formed in the matter of Adam. When God molded Adam he made a mass from whose noblest part he took the purest matter for Mary, and from the residue or superfluous he formed Adam.” The same author adds: “The matter of the Mother of God, created from the beginning and enclosed in a member of Adam, was taken from him, and passing from Adam to Seth, from Seth Enochb, to Noah, to Shem, to Eber, to Abral1arn, Isaac and Jacob, came to Jehoiachin. It is obvious to assume that this mystery was kept in the Ark of the Covenant to make its transmission possible through so many centuries." (De Arcanis Catholicae Veritatis, book VII).
