Prayers

1. Lord, my God,
   have mercy on me, your servant,
   because there are many who persecute me
   and I became like an abandoned object.
   Deliver me from the hands of my enemies and help me:
   seek those who are lost;
   finding it, recover it for Yourself;
   after he has recovered, do not abandon him;
   so that I may please You in all things,
   to You by whom I recognize that I was rescued
   with admirable power.
   Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
   which is God with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
   Amen.

2. Omnipotent God,
   that you gather the abandoned in your house
   and lead those imprisoned back to happiness,
   see my affliction and come to my aid;
   defeat the most cruel enemy,
   so that, overcoming the presence of the opponent,
   find safe rest in true freedom
   and, recovering tranquil piety,
   joyfully profess your wondrous power,
   in favor of your people.
   Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
   which is God with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
   Amen.

3. God, creator and protector of the human race,
   that you formed man in your image
   and you renewed it by the grace of Baptism,
   look at me, your servant,
   and answered my prayers.
   May the splendor of your glory shine in my heart,
   so that, having overcome all fear, fear and terror,
   may I praise You, with a calm heart and spirit,
   together with the brothers in your Church.
   Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
   which is God with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
   Amen.

4. God, source of all goodness and mercy,
   that, for our love, you wanted your Son
   suffer the gallows of the cross,
   to deliver us from the power of the enemy,
   look kindly on my humiliation and torment.
   You who made me reborn in the font of Baptism,
   overcoming the incursions of the Evil One,
   increase in me the grace of your blessing.
   Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
   which is God with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit.
   Amen.

5. God, holy Father, who, by the grace of filial adoption,
   you made me a child of light,
   grant that he may not be enveloped by the darkness of the devil,
   but always remain in the splendor of freedom
   which I received in baptismal rebirth.
   Through Our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
   which is God with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit.

as I turn to my mother, I rely on you;

Do not despise my prayers,
O Mother of the human Son of God,
but deign to listen to them favorably
and to achieve what I ask of you.

Invocation to St. Michael the Archangel

Saint Michael the Archangel, defend us in this fight;
be our help against the malice and snares of the devil.

We instantly and humbly ask
May God exercise his empire over him.

And You, Prince of the heavenly militia,
with the grace of divine power,
cast Satan and other evil spirits into hell,
who roam the world to the perdition of souls.
